MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden made a snide comment on former President Donald Trump's golf game and physical fitness during his remarks at a lavish fundraising event hosted by Stephen Colbert in New York on Thursday.

President Biden, who is 81 years old and an avid golfer, shared his workout routine and alternated between ridiculing his predecessor and warning of the threat he posed to the nation.

Per DailyMail, the discussion took place with former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton in attendance, with the 'Late Show' host Colbert acting as the moderator.

What did Stephen Colbert and President Joe Biden say regarding Trump’s golfing prowess?

Colbert set the Commander-in-Chief up with a joke about his hectic political travel, although Trump "as far as we can tell, has just been trying to win a third championship at his own golf course."

“My question to you sir is can voters trust a presidential candidate who has not won a single Trump International Golf Club trophy? At long last, sir, have you no chip shot?” he posed.

“Look, I'd be happy to play,” Biden responded. “I told him this once before when he came into the Oval before he was sworn in. I said, ‘I'll give you three strokes but you carry your own bag.’ I've only played 21 holes since I've been president.”

This comes after former President Donald Trump was mocked online for saying he won two golf trophies at his West Palm Beach club.

Trump, a real estate mogul with a portfolio of golf courses, is known for utilizing a golf cart during his rounds and has even been observed driving on the green.

President Joe Biden, who has been grappling with age-related concerns in his reelection bid, aimed at Trump's golfing ability during the star-studded event.

Biden, who has been focusing more on Trump since each man effectively secured his party's nomination, also criticized the MAGA figurehead's physical fitness.

Throughout the event, Biden took several jabs at Trump while relying on Obama and Clinton to highlight his track record on issues such as ethics, the economy, and job creation.

“We're at an inflection point in history. This guy denies there is a global warming. This guy wants to get rid of not only Roe v. Wade, by the way which he brags about having not he wants to get rid of the ability of anyone anywhere in America has ever to choose — All the things he's doing are so old. A little old and out of shape, but anyway,” Biden remarked.

The playful exchange unfolded during a chat that featured other quips, such as the incumbent's comment that he doesn't "sit by the door" on Air Force One, at a fundraiser that raised $25 million for his 2024 campaign and was interrupted several times by pro-Palestine protesters.

President Biden also had an opportunity to defend his age at the Radio City Music Hall event when Colbert questioned whether he was "too seasoned for the job."

“Well I don't know about seasoned but I hope they're not too old of ideas. You know, this last guy that I ran against and am running against again this time, is his ideas are from the 18th 19th century,” Biden claimed.

He added, “No, I'm serious. This is the way he talks about when he says he's gonna suspend the Constitution, all the things he said.”

77-year-old Bill Clinton, who was the 42nd President of the United States, remarked at the event, “I'll tell you what's old. What's old is the United States of America. We are the longest lasting free democracy in the history of the world.”
