WASHINGTON, DC: Following former President Donald Trump's comparison of himself to Jesus Christ on social media, President Joe Biden’s campaign team made fun of his Republican predecessor who’s also his likely opponent in the upcoming November general elections, per the Independent.

“Received this morning – Beautiful thank you!” Trump said, before referencing one of his supporters who sent him a message that read, “It’s ironic that Christ walked through His greatest persecution the very week that they are trying to steal your property from you.”

Thereafter, the post cited Psalm 109: 3–8 from the Bible, “They have also fought against me with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause.”

What did Biden’s campaign team say regarding Trump’s Messiah complex?

The incumbent president’s campaign team responded to Donald Trump’s savior complex by blasting the former President as “weak and desperate — both as a man and a candidate for President.”

“He spent the weekend golfing, the morning comparing himself to Jesus, and the afternoon lying about having money he definitely doesn’t have,” their statement on X read, adding that “America deserves better than a feeble, confused, and tired Donald Trump.”

The tweet from the Biden campaign was made the day after Joe Biden made fun of Donald Trump for purporting to have won his golf club’s championship.

“It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY,” the presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee wrote on Sunday. “I WON BOTH!”

“Congratulations, Donald,” President Joe Biden replied. “Quite the accomplishment.”
