LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a passionate and expletive-laden segment, comedian and 'The Daily Show' contributor Leslie Jones took to the airwaves to express her disbelief and concern over recent news indicating former President Donald Trump's lead over President Joe Biden in some polls for the 2024 election.

“What the f**k is wrong with us?” Jones exclaimed, articulating a sentiment shared by many who are bewildered by the possibility of a Trump resurgence. She compared the situation to a predictable disaster in a movie, where the impending calamity seems evident, yet no one takes steps to prevent it.

Leslie Jones calls Donald Trump a 'terrible' president

A central aspect of Jones' critique was her scathing assessment of Trump's presidency. She minced no words in labeling him a "terrible f**king president" and reminded viewers of his controversial proposals, including the infamous suggestion of nuking hurricanes.

Her incredulity at the idea of Trump returning to power was palpable as she rhetorically questioned, "Do you really not remember?"

Jones also highlighted polling data showing a large number of registered voters viewing the Trump era presidency favorably compared to Biden's tenure. This apparent nostalgia for the Trump era alarmed Jones and many others who fear a regression to what they see as a tumultuous and divisive period in American politics.

"The thing that gets me the most, is there are people who are saying we're worse off than we were in 2020," Jones exclaimed. "In 2020, we didn't even have [BLEEP] toilet paper. We was wiping our a** with family photos!"

Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump's criminal trial to begin on April 15, which would make it the first criminal prosecution of a former American president. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 election. Leslie Jones warns against bringing Donald Trump back to office

The comedian didn't shy away from addressing the January 6 Capitol insurrection, condemning Trump's role in inciting the violence. She likened the idea of Trump's return to power to entrusting a child to known dangers, using colorful analogies to drive home her point.

"Are we going to really bring back a man who tried to overthrow the government?" Jones questioned. "This is like asking Jeffrey Epstein to watch your kids. Or a pedophile priest to watch your kids. Or that sick [BLEEP] who used to work at Nickelodeon to watch your kids! Hey, how about we do this? Don't let anybody watch your kids!"

Furthermore, Jones criticized those who downplay the severity of Trump's presidency, emphasizing that his tenure was marked by incompetence and recklessness, particularly in handling the Covid-19 pandemic.

"And listen, I know the pandemic wasn't Trump's fault, but Trump made it worse every chance he got," Jones remarked. "Don't you people remember the kind of advice he was giving us? President Trump suggested, without facts, that bleach injections might fight Covid."

Throughout her impassioned monologue, Jones urged Americans to remember the tumultuous Trump presidency and to think critically about the consequences of returning him to power.

Internet says Leslie Jones has a point

In the wake of Leslie Jones' impassioned critique of the potential resurgence of former President Donald Trump, social media erupted with an outpouring of support for the comedian's blunt and unapologetic commentary.

One user wrote, "She has a point. America's memory span is all of five minutes."

Another added, "You are brilliant, thank you for shouting out frustration on our behalf.... Complacency and being idiotic is a disease."

One user replied, "People PLEASE, don’t make the same mistake twice, DON’T VOTE FOR TRUMP. And thank you for your time."

One commented, "I love you, Leslie! You speak the truth!!"

One said, "The look of absolute disgust after hearing that people were waiting in line for eight hours was priceless."
