Internet chuckles as Jimmy Fallon jokes about RFK Jr's brain worm as mastermind of ideas, drawing 'Ratatouille' comparison

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In his opening monologue on the night of May 8, Jimmy Fallon quipped that all of Robert F Kennedy Jr's brilliant ideas stemmed from the deceased worm that was inside his brain.

After ribbing Donald Trump for swearing during his hush money trial, the 'Tonight Show' host shifted his focus to the outspokenly anti-vaccine third-party candidate Kennedy.

According to reports, doctors discovered a dark spot in Kennedy's brain during a medical scan, prompting Kennedy to comment that the spot "was caused by a worm that entered my brain and consumed a portion of it before dying."

Jimmy Fallon pokes fun at RFK Jr's brain worm story

Fallon's mention of Kennedy's "ideas" likely alludes to the numerous conspiracy theories Kennedy has promoted since entering politics and even earlier, especially concerning vaccines.

For instance, he asserted that COVID-19 vaccines contain microchips capable of controlling individuals. Additionally, he linked antidepressants to the increase in school shootings across the country.

Fallon highlighted a recent New York Times article that disclosed doctors had discovered a dead parasite in Kennedy's brain back in 2012.

“RFK Jr. said that years ago, a doctor found a dead worm in his brain. And this is strange — instead of using de-wormer, he injected himself with the COVID vaccine,” Fallon said.

Several doctors noticed a dark spot on the younger Mr. Kennedy's brain scans and concluded that he had a tumor, he said in a 2012 deposition reviewed by The New York Times. (@fallontonight/Youtube)

He added, “He’s got it all wrong. His family’s like, ‘It’s true, but it still doesn’t explain why he’s like that.’ Apparently, the worm was giving him all his ideas, like in ‘Ratatouille.’”

Fallon proceeded to do an impression of Kennedy, imagining how it would sound if the presidential hopeful spoke with a French "Ratatouille" accent.

He jokingly quipped, "It is not, uh — it is cold. I will warm it up," mimicking a faux French accent.

Fallon's mention of the 2007 film 'Ratatouille' was based on its storyline. In the animated Disney movie, a rat with aspirations of becoming a chef relocates to Paris and secretly guides a kitchen staff member in cooking, all while remaining hidden from view.

Fallon's joke about RFK Jr draws social media reaction

One viewer expressed, "When found, RFK worm said; 'Doc!...you gotta get me outa here, this guy's crazy!'"
