NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The Daily Show' guest host Charlamagne tha God's "ultimate Christmas gift" would be President Joe Biden withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race.

"Biden is not getting any younger. He's not going to get any more popular and he is not getting a new running mate. Please, Mr. President, give America the ultimate Christmas gift and a step aside," Charlamagne said.

He made the remarks in a recent episode of Comedy Central's late-night satirical show, which he filled in as a guest host.

Charlamagne tha God asks Joe Biden to step aside

Responding to a clip of Biden saying that there will be "probably 50" other Democrats who can beat Trump but vowed to do that himself, Charlamagne pointed out that it is only the President's "ego talking."

"This is Biden's ego talking. If you think there are other people who can beat him, step aside. I know you think you've got this in the bag. I know he thinks he's got this in the bag but the polls say otherwise."

"I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him stepping in to defend me in a bar fight. I appreciate you caring but I don't like our chances," he continued.

The guest host also compared Biden, who turned 81 in November, to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's refusal to step down from the Supreme Court.

Highlighting the incumbent's age, the host pleaded with Biden not to commit the same mistake as Ruth Bader Ginsburg when she decided not to retire from the Supreme Court. He pointed out that if RBG retired on time, Obama's administration could have filled in the post with a liberal judge. But after her death at 87, Trump appointed conservative Amy Coney Barrett.

Charlamagne added that if RBG had made a timely decision, Roe v Wade would not have been revoked.

Internet has mixed reactions to Charlamagne tha God's demand

Netizens are divided on Charlamagne asking Biden to drop out of the presidential race.

Social media reactions show that the Internet cannot understand who he wants instead of Biden, along with some users questioning Charlamagne supporting the President in 2020.

One user said, "He'll still vote for him even if he doesn't drop out."

Another user said, "This dude is transitioning lmao."

"But who does he want to step forward?" asked a third user.

A fourth user stated, "He's should ask GOD..to give him some kind of insight to reality... Charlemagne needs it.!!!"

While one user supported the host, saying, "Same, especially after hearing that he hasn't decided on whether he'll debate or not, which will only hurt his campaign if he doesn't, and while he isn't much older than Trump, I can't imagine a guy being 86 years old when he leaves office. We can do better than that."

On the contrary, another reaction read, "Didn't Charlamagne help him get elected in the first place?"
