Internet mocks JD Vance for saying he's ‘p***ed off’ as he won't get to debate Kamala Harris

MIDDLETOWN, OHIO: GOP vice presidential nominee Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio) said on Monday, July 22, that he's disappointed he won't get to debate vice president Kamala Harris.

Harris is set to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic candidate on presidential ticket following his withdrawal.

With Biden's endorsement, all eyes are on the nominations as Harris' "intention is to earn and win" the election.

“I was told I was going to get to debate Kamala Harris and now president Trump is going to get to debate her? I’m kind of pissed off about that, if I’m being honest with you,” Vance said at a Middletown, Ohio, rally.

The Trump team had not formally committed to participating in a vice presidential debate because they were unsure of the Democratic nominee.

“We don’t know who the Democrat nominee for vice president is going to be, so we can’t lock in a date before their convention,” Trump campaign advisor Brian Hughes said on July 17.

JD Vance says Joe Biden knew he 'wasn’t capable of doing the job' 

Monday, July 22, saw Vance holding two solo campaign events. He accused Harris and other Democrats of misleading the public about Biden's qualifications for the job during the previous three years.

“Every single person who saw Joe Biden knew he wasn’t capable of doing the job, and for three years they said nothing until he became political deadweight,” Vance said, according to The Hill.

“That is not a way to run a country. That is not a way to run a political party. That is an insult to voters," Vance said.

Amid growing pressure from elected Democrats to withdraw, Biden declared on Sunday afternoon, July 21, that he would not seek a second term.

The move came as a surprise as Biden was adamant on running aginst Trump despite several calls to pass the tourch.

Internet reacts to JD Vance's frustration for not being able to debate Kamala Harris 

Even as Vance expressed frustratation for his inability to debate with Harris, the internet suggested to try it and she will not refuse.

Some suggested it was a shame while a few said it would have been fun to watch. 

"That guy is soooo relieved," wrote one user on X. "Ask her, JD, I bet she'd say yes," wrote another. 

"It’s a shame," a third user wrote. "Would have been fun to watch... :D," commented one user.

However, some people suggested that he would have been shredded if he were to debate Harris. "And three days ago, he said he wouldn’t debate her," wrote one while another added, "He would get shredded."
