PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Kevin Roberts, the leader of Project 2025, was caught in a recently released audio recording making a shocking claim that former President Donald Trump is deliberately deceiving the American public by denying knowing who is behind Project 2025.

Roberts asserts in the recording that Trump is "making a political tactical decision" by distancing himself publicly from the objectives of Project 2025, according to MeidasTouch.

Trump recently distanced himself from the Heritage Foundation's blueprint for the next Republican president that has attracted much scrutiny. “I have no idea who is behind it,” he claimed on social media.

On Fox News’s ‘The Will Cain Show,' Kevin Roberts similarly stated that Donald Trump serves as the "standard bearer" for the Heritage Foundation and that it would make sense "if you're running for president and you're trying to win . . . then it makes sense you would want to pivot from that. There are no hard feelings from us at Project 2025 . . ."

What did Project 2025’s Kevin Roberts claim in latest audio recording?

In the new audio recording, the interviewer can be heard asking Kevin Roberts, “So when you see President Trump say this and what you envision as being behind it tactically?”

Roberts responded, “Well, I think it's the sign of a great leader who understands he's in a terrific political news cycle.”

“He's run a really good campaign from start up to this point,” Roberts commended, adding, “And the left's mischaracterization of Project 2025 had become a liability.”

“I think we've seen that really turn around in the last few days since that statement,” he claimed.

“So no hard feelings from any of us at Project 2025 about the statement because we understand Trump is the standard bearer and he's making a political, tactical decision here,” he remarked in conclusion.

Netizens mock Donald Trump following revelation by Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts

Netizens trolled Donald Trump as the Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts admitted in a recently released audio recording that Donald Trump is deceiving the American public into believing he has nothing to do with Project 2025.

One X user remarked, "So it's a political tactical decision for Trump to lie and run cover for the actual plan, which is indeed Project 2025. Yeah, we knew that."

Another user wrote, "Once again DJT is caught lying."

Another user claimed, "so hes lying to get votes so he can go back to it after he wins.. thats not a political tactic stance .. thats just outright lying." [sic]

One user said, "Trump will promise every American a free all expense paid trip to Disneyland if they vote for him Trump won on his promise to build the Wall & have Mexico pay for it, yet with 2 years of total control of congress & the senate, he couldn't build a wall or have Mexico pay for it." [sic]

Another X user quipped, "Um… that’s literally all he does is lie!"

Another user asserted, "So that is pretty much part of the master plan to implement Project 2025."

Finally, this user tweeted, "Tell us something we don't know. I suppose every lie that comes out of Mr. Trump's mouth, and there are certainly many, many such lies, are 'political tactical decisions.' Basically, he just says whatever he thinks may be to his advantage in the moment. He's a con artist." [sic]
