HENDERSONVILLE, TENNESSEE: Tennessee authorities on Monday, March 4, 2024, reportedly declared that they are reducing the scope of their current hunt for a 15-year-old boy who vanished at the end of the previous month.

$3,500 reward for information regarding Sebastian Rogers

Police have shifted their focus more toward an investigation, but according to Sumner County Deputy Chief Eric Craddock, they have not discovered any evidence that Rogers is dead.

The community has been asked to look over surveillance footage for possible evidence by the police.

“We were told that his favorite song was 'Eye of The Tiger',” Chief Craddock said, according to DailyMail. “We tried playing that to kind of call him and let him know we’re here to help. I’m sure that he could see what’s going on here and be intimidated,” he added.

Sebastian Rogers' parents talk about son's disappearance

Sebastian Rogers' parents are speaking out on television for the first time about the last time they saw their 15-year-old son as the eight-day search for the missing teen draws to a close.

As reported by WKYT, Roger's mother Katie Proudfoot said, “I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.” “Anyone,” she added.

“On one constant rollercoaster ride of helpless and hopeless,” Roger's stepfather Chris Proudfoot said, before adding, “Many other emotions all in one and it’s a never-ending world because it doesn’t stop.”

According to Rogers' parents, the day Sebastian disappeared appeared to be an ordinary day. After the family went to bed, Sebastian wasn't there when Katie went to wake him up. She called her husband at work right away.

“I can’t find him,” she said, describing that conversation. “What do you mean you can’t find him? I said, ‘he’s not in the house.’”

“My son doesn’t run and he’s not a runner. He’s never run away before,” she said. “I don’t know why he walked out that door,” she added.

“There’s answers to questions right now that we are searching for desperately and we just don’t have that,” Sebastian’s stepfather added.

“We love you so much, and we want you to come home and you’re not in trouble,” his mother said. “I just want my baby to be okay.”

Internet tries ways to locate Sebastian Rogers

The internet is trying to track down the teenage boy by sharing Roger's photos on social media. Additionally, internet users are praying for a safe return of the missing autistic boy.

A user wrote on platform X (previously known as Twitter), "Day 8: Sebastian Rogers where are you? . Many close to the investigation say this case is now shifting towards foul play/ a criminal investigation. I’ve listened now to the two interviews his mother and stepdad have done."

The post further read, "I can’t entirely decide what to think. No one has been named as a suspect and no one has been publicly cleared by law enforcement. I may eventually post transcripts I’ve written for these interviews. Hope is waining, but I’m praying HARD he will be found safe."

Another user wrote, "No pleas for the public to keep searching? How come nobody talked about how alone and afraid Sebastian must be out there? Or begging the public to not give up on their son??? I heard none of that. Not even close. "

Another user requested people to play Roger's favorite song and said, "Sebastian Rogers loves to dance and Eye of the Tiger is his favorite song. Please keep Sebastian, all those who love him, and all those searching in your thoughts as the effort to locate him continues into the second week."
