DINAS POWYS, CARDIFF: Former Representative Donna Edwards (D-MD) stated on MSNBC's 'Chris Jansing Reports' that the ongoing New York hush money trial is diminishing former President Donald Trump's influence and "taking a toll on him."

Edwards served as the 4th congressional district representative for Maryland in the US Congress from 2008 to 2017. The district included most of Prince George's County and a portion of Anne Arundel County. She is an official member of the Democratic Party.

What did Donna Edwards say?

While discussing the hush money trial's potential impact on the Trump campaign, Edwards told host Chris Jansing on Monday, May 27, “Well, I think that’s certainly true. Look, it’s really clear that the trial is taking a toll on Donald Trump and I think his ability to juggle between what he’s doing in the courtroom in Manhattan versus what he needs to do on the campaign trail."

She added, "It is the reason you saw the organized rally in the Bronx, something close by, near his golf course in New Jersey,” according to Breitbart.

“Again, I think you know, trying to conserve his energy and his time to make space for these trials. It’s not going to get easier as the calendar marches toward November. I do think that Brendan is right," Edward remarked.

The former representative further stated, "There is a money issue and he doesn’t have the same kind of juice to draw those large crowds that he did back in 2016, certainly a lot less in 2020. So he has to go to these prepared, preplanned events in order to maximize the time that he’s spending out on the campaign trial.”

Internet claims 'trial is making President Trump stronger'

As soon as the news went viral, Breitbart readers started sharing their opinions in the comments section. One claimed, "The trial is making President Trump stronger."

Another user added, "Trump just keeps getting stronger and stronger. The more the Left demonizes, and persecutes him, the more popular he becomes. Democrats are giving him more publicity than he could buy. Keep it up morons! Trump 2024!!"

One commentator remarked, "Sure Donna. Only Trump just held the biggest rally ever by any candidate in New Jersey."

"I just watched President Trump's historic Bronx rally the other day. The man is on Fire!! Trump will fix the Inflation caused by Blden's stupidity. Blden is going to be 82 in November. He suffers dementia, he's too old," wrote another supporter.
