MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Hulk Hogan discussed what motivated him to support former president Donald Trump during his riveting speech at the Republican National Convention. The legendary wrestler claimed that he didn't follow the teleprompter and that the atmosphere at the RNC resembled that of a wrestling match.

"I felt a rumble, and so I started pushing the gas down and more. I pushed the gas pedal down the more they responded," Hogan told Fox News on Friday, July 19. According to WWE Hall of Famer, he watched "what was happening to our country" for years while keeping quiet.

Hulk Hogan says he has known 'kind' Donald Trump for more than 3 decades

Hulk Hogan gave an account of Donald Trump whom he has known for the previous 35 years.

"He was such a kind person. He was just so nice all the time. And I watched how he treated people, and he treated everybody the same. It was really cool to see that this guy hasn't changed a bit. And all the stuff that the press writes about him, he's not that guy," the former wrestler said.

The crowd waited patiently for Trump to emerge and accept the nomination for president for the third time before Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, spoke as one of the first speakers of the evening. The six-time WWE champion brought a little Hulkamania with him.

Hulk Hogan says 'hero' Donald Trump's assassination attempt was disheartening for him

Hulk Hogan expressed his displeasure that they "took a shot at my hero." Then, in true pro wrestling style, he tore off his vest and exposed a Trump-Vance 2024 shirt beneath the Hogan "Real American" shirt he was sporting.

"Enough was enough, and I said, let Trump-a-mania run wild, brother. Let Trumpamania rule again. Let Trumpamania make America great again," he screamed while flexing his pythons. Hogan predicted "America is going to get back on track" with Trump as president and the so-called "Trump-ites" behind him for the next four years.

Internet rips Hulk Hogan for endorsing Donald Trump at RNC

Netizens lashed out at the wrestling icon for voicing his support for the former president. Although the 70-year-old is a highly respected individual in the wrestling industry, the same cannot be asserted about him when it comes to his public statements, as time and again his racist remarks have put him in trouble.

One X user wrote, "He is a has been idiot who looked even more idiodic than has been Kid Rock did."

Another added, "Wrestling fans are referred to as 'MARKS'. The hulkster was in the right place."

"If the endorsement made by that washed up bitch genuinely made you rethink who you're going to vote for you have no worth as an American," remarked one.

"@HulkHogan lost a lot of fans by picking to back the dude who wants to deport them. Steroids destroyed his common sense," wrote someone else.
