LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Jesse Watters recently stirred conversation on social media with a tweet suggesting that Joe Biden must secure peace in the Middle East to win back Michigan voters and consolidate his political base.

Watters shared a segment from his show on Twitter, stating, "Joe Biden needs to create peace in the Middle East to win back Michigan voters and consolidate his base... that’s a tall order."

Unpacking Jesse Watters' analysis

In the segment, Watters delved into the potential consequences for Biden's support base, emphasizing the loss of Arab voters and college students in Ann Arbor and East Lansing.

He stated, "Not only did he lose a lot of Arabs to the uncommitted, he lost Ann Arbor and East Lansing, which is University of Michigan and Michigan State. Go blue. So you're seeing the college students also not show up to be uncommitted."

Watters raised the question of future voter behavior in the face of a potential ballot with both Trump and Biden. He expressed concern, saying, "And the question is, if Trump's on the ballot in November and Joe Biden, are they going to come around to go home with Joe? They're not voting for Trump. So they're going to either do third party or they're not going to vote at all or just go down ballot."

Highlighting a critical aspect of the electoral landscape, Watters warned, "And if I were Biden, I'd be scared because Wayne County, where Detroit is, 25 percent of that vote was uncommitted. That's a lot. And so he has to bank on peace in the Middle East to bring back the uncommitted. He has to make a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians in order to consolidate his base. That is a tall order."

Watters also speculated on potential challenges, bringing up the possibility of RFK Jr's candidacy. He noted, "And we don't know if RFK Jr. is even going to make the ballot. If he does, that's an even bigger problem for Joe Biden. They gave the president a clean bill of health. That must mean then he could stand trial for the documents case."

However, the internet's reaction to Watters' claims has been varied.

Skepticism abounds: Online reactions to Jesse Watters' claims

The online reaction to Jesse Watters' assertion about Joe Biden's need to secure peace in the Middle East for electoral success has been diverse and reflective of various perspectives.

One user dismissed the entire narrative, stating, "It’s all just noise. America first, then we fix the world."

Another user took a skeptical stance, "I mean, it's possible. He said he was going to cure cancer and he did that, right? Oh wait..”

A different perspective emerged, with a user suggesting that Michigan's electoral system is rigged, casting doubt on the legitimacy of the political process in the state, "“Michigan is rigged anyway...," wrote one.

One replied, "He can’t achieve this. He will loose votes because of it."

One commented, "He’s going to run into the 1 year mark for the war if HAMAS doesn’t capitulate to a two-state solution. With initial Israeli occupation. Tall indeed."
