RIFLE, COLORADO: Lauren Boebert (R-Colo) took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, February 27, to flaunt her allegiance to the MAGA movement by attacking the "Biden Crime Family."

However, just hours after she shared the post, her son, Tyler Jay Boebert, was arrested and slapped with 22 different charges in connection to a series of alleged vehicle trespassing and property thefts that occurred in Rifle, Colorado, located about 68 miles northwest of Aspen, as per HuffPost.

The 18-year-old's charges included four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony, as well as over 15 counts of misdemeanor and petty offenses.

He was held at the Garfield County Jail before being released after posting a $1,250 bond on February 28, as per CBS News

Rep Lauren Boebert says she will 'never give up' on son Tyler Jay Boebert after his arrest

Hours before her son's arrest, Lauren wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "The Biden Crime Family will go down as the most corrupt political family in American history," targeting President Joe Biden and his family.

After the news of Tyler's arrest came to light, in a statement, the Colorado Republican said, "I love my son Tyler, who has been through some very difficult, public challenges for a young man and the subject of attention that he didn’t ask for."

She added, "It breaks my heart to see my child struggling and, in this situation, especially when he has been provided multiple opportunities to get his life on track. I will never give up on him and I will continue to be there for him."

"As an adult and father, Tyler will take responsibility for his actions and should be held accountable for poor decisions just like any other citizen," asserted Lauren.

Notably, Tyler is not the sole member of the Boebert family to have been apprehended this year.

Reports state that in January, Jayson Boebert, the Rep's ex-husband, was arrested by the Garfield County Sheriff's Office for criminal trespass in the third degree, obstruction, and disorderly conduct following an altercation between the estranged couple at a restaurant in Colorado.

Earlier in February, Lauren obtained a temporary restraining order against Jayson over accusations of him threatening her and unlawfully entering the family home.

A post shared by Lauren Boebert For Congress (@laurenboebert)

These developments coincide with the Republican's run for reelection to continue representing Colorado in Congress in 2024.

She did, however, choose to switch congressional districts, and she is currently campaigning to represent the 4th Congressional District as opposed to the 3rd Congressional District of the Centennial State.

Internet reacts as Lauren Boebert slammed the Bidens hours before her son's arrest

After Lauren's son Tyler was taken into custody over a slew of charges, netizens wasted no time in calling out the Rep for pointing the finger at others before having a good look at her own family.

One remarked, "BIG LOL!!" and another said, "Before smearing others, it's always best to look in the mirror Ms. Boebert."

"Try the Boebert Crime Family lolz," quipped a person, while someone else questioned, "How can an 18-year-old steal so much and he is the son of a rich politician, so what is the need for him to steal?"

An individual expressed, "Karma is a helluva thing!! When you consider all her debased actions, her son is a choirboy and role model for her."

"There needs to be a full investigation into Boebert to make sure she didn't use her influence to protect her son," stated another person.
