NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Joe Biden administration is contemplating executive action to address the surge of illegal migrants at the southern border, as per an NBC News report.

Despite President Joe Biden's previous assertions of needing Congress to resolve the issue, it now seems that executive action may be pursued instead.

Following this news, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter to slam Biden for being “late” as many other people on the internet also took a jab at POTUS.

Sean Hannity mocks Joe Biden for being ‘late’ to take action on border crisis

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “YOU'RE LATE, JOE! Biden Finally Considering Executive Action to Fix Border Crisis; Report.”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that the Biden administration is finally taking executive action to counter the border crisis.

As per NBC News, with passing legislation on border security in Congress appearing increasingly unlikely, the White House is contemplating taking executive action to address the issue before anticipated rises in border numbers.

These plans, which have been under consideration for months, gained urgency as illegal crossings hit record levels of over 10,000 per day in December.

While the proposed unilateral measures may unsettle some progressives in Congress, officials suggest that Democratic mayors seeking federal assistance to manage migrant influxes would welcome them.

However, these measures are still in the drafting stage and are not expected to be implemented immediately.

On Wednesday, Senate Republicans blocked a bipartisan border bill that had been negotiated with Democrats and the Biden administration over the preceding months.

Internet calls Joe Biden ‘too weak’

Many X users slammed Joe Biden after the news came out.

One person wrote, “That is because he can't get away with the lie,” and another said, “He just wants the money to so he can reapprropriate it to sanctuary cities.”

An X user simply bashed Biden, “He’ll just make it worse,” and another said, “@POTUS will never do it, he is too weak to do the right thing.”

One more person slammed Biden, “He can stay in his basement where the people got this,” and another added, “It's past Joe's bedtime!”
