LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) made startling allegations on 'Hannity' on Monday night, April 15, asserting that President Joe Biden is aligned with those who chant "Death to America" and should be held accountable for treason.

Gingrich's remarks came amid a backdrop of widespread protests in the United States against Israel's military actions in Gaza.

Drawing on historical parallels, he invoked Ambassador Jean Kirkpatrick's 1984 speech at the Republican National Convention where she talked about the 'Blame America First Democrats'.

Newt Gingrich calls for reflection on historical precedents

"Well, guess what? That was Joe Biden! He was in the Senate already. He was part of that. Now he’s surrounded by people who are crazy! And the fact is, I think we ought to go back and learn the lessons of the 1930s," Gingrich proclaimed.

The former Speaker of the House drew a comparison to Franklin Delano Roosevelt's response to Nazi sympathizers in the 1930s, emphasizing Roosevelt's decisive actions against domestic threats.

"Franklin Delano Roosevelt was faced with a Nazi effort inside the United States. They locked people up. I believe, frankly, we should say, 'If you are for the victory of Iran, if you want to scream death to America, we are deporting you. If you’re an American, we’re going to try you for treason.' You can’t get up and say 'Death to America' as an American citizen!" Gingrich emphasized.

Gingrich alleges Biden's alignment with America's adversaries

Expanding on his concerns, Gingrich accused Biden of favoring America's adversaries across various global fronts.

From Ukraine, where he allegedly sides with Russia, to Afghanistan, where he purportedly favors the Taliban, to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where he is accused of siding with Hamas.

"At every single front from Ukraine where he favors Russia, to what’s happened in Afghanistan where in the end he favors the Taliban, to what is happening in Gaza where he favors Hamas, to what’s happening in Iran where he favors the Iranians. On every front, Joe Biden is on the side of the people who hate America," Gingrich stated, outlining his concerns.

Internet reacts to Gingrich's remarks

The response to Newt Gingrich's remarks on social media reflects a wide spectrum of opinions and emotions.

One user wrote, "There are many versions of Newt. This is my favorite."

Another added, "Nice wish but sadly this will never happen."

One replied, "And if you are the politicians who escorted all these people in can we try them for treason?"

Another commented, "What a hypocrite. The current administration is actually causing death to America, but he doesn't call them out for treason."

One said, "You, yourself will do nothing. And this sorry excuse for a government and poorly administered legislature will reap what they sow."
