WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden, nearing the end of his only presidential term, made another gaffe, referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as "president," and purposefully calling his energy secretary "boss."

The 81-year-old's latest slip-up occurred after he was interrupted during a White House briefing on hurricanes Helene and Milton on Friday, October 11, as per Fox News.

Speaking at the Roosevelt Room, Biden emphasized power restoration and removal of debris from the storms as the primary focus of his administration. He also noted the estimated cost of Milton's destruction alone to be $50.

At least 92 people were killed in the category 3 storm in North Carolina, while over 3 million were out of power in Florida.

Energy secretary's interruption irks Joe Biden

Towards the end of the briefing, the octogenarian seemed to trail off, prompting Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm to interrupt and remind it was Kamala Harris' turn to speak.

"I know," Biden snapped. "I'm going to go to the vice president in a second."

However, he quickly masked the annoyance by holding Granholm's hand and quipped, "She's my boss here."

Harris, who joined the White House briefing by teleconference, appeared to chime in, but Biden responded, "Hang on a second, Madame Vice President."

The president passed the floor to Harris after mentioning that his administration would seek extra funds from Congress for hurricane recovery.

"I'm just telling everybody now that I don't want to hear this is going to be the end of it. So with that, I'll yield to the president, I mean the vice president," he said, immediately correcting his slip-up.

Donald Trump says Joe Biden is 'angry' at Kamala Harris

Joe Biden, who passed on the torch to Kamala Harris after he was pressured to step out of the 2024 race in July, has reportedly complained that the VP and the Democratic Party had "moved on from him" since his exit. In addition, he also whined that his achievements were not given importance on the Harris campaign trail.

In light of this, former president Donald Trump chimed into the allegations, speculating the relationship between Biden and Harris was not at the best, claiming his successor was "angry" for being forced to withdraw in a Democratic "coup."

Internet derides Joe Biden for calling Kamala Harris 'president' and secretary 'boss' at White House briefing

Netizens brutally ridiculed Joe Biden for referring to Kamala Harris as 'president' and labeling his energy secretary "boss" during the hurricane briefing at the White House.

"Biden’s repeated blunders on Harris’s title just underscore the lack of clarity and coherence from this administration. It’s hardly reassuring in a crisis," a user said.

"He has no clue what room he’s in," another added.

""The total idiot," an individual chimed in.

"Biden is getting worn out trying to campaign for himself. Seems that no one has made it clear that he's not in the race," said a user.

"Freudian slip? I think they put the old man in the basement of the WH and let him out occasionally for good behavior," read one response.

"Ooch. Never thought I'd feel sorry for the dude. But hey, I'm not a hateful-liberal.." someone else wrote.

"He had no clue what’s going on! one user commented on Facebook.

"His confusion keeps getting worse," another user remarked.
