NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly slammed Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal for her "balanced" criticism of the Israel-Hamas war in response to questions concerning progressives' purported lack of response to Hamas rapes.

Jayapal recently appeared on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ for an interview with Dana Bash to talk about the ongoing Hamas-Israel conflict.

When Bash remarked that progressive women have kept quiet about the horrific sexual assaults on Israeli women carried out by Hamas, Jayapal replied, "I think we always talk about the impact of war on women in particular… I’ve condemned what Hamas has done. I’ve condemned the actions absolutely — the rape, of course."

She added, "Morally, I think we cannot say that one war crime deserves another. That is not what international humanitarian law says," according to the New York Post.

Moreover, Jayapal seemingly tried to steer questions asked by Bash about Hamas' rapes. This didn’t sit well with Kelly as she called Jayapal’s statement "absolutely disgusting."

Megyn Kelly lashes out at Rep Pramila Jayapal for not outrightly condemning Hamas

On her latest podcast show, Megyn Kelly was joined by Josh Hammer of Newsweek and Seth Mandel of Commentary to talk about Rep Pramila Jayapal’s remarks and the supposed anti-Israel politics of progressives in Congress.

After playing the clip of Jayapal’s interaction with CNN host Dana Bash, Kelly said, "This is just a bridge too far. What kind of a person can’t look at the reports of what was done to those women in Israel and say anything other than, ‘I am horrified. This will be condemned immediately’?"

Mandel agreed with Kelly, remarking, "You have to understand how people find a way to bring it back to criticism of Israel no matter what. You can’t actually defend anything that Hamas did, so you have two options: You can deny it or you can 'what about it'."

The veteran journalist pointed out that she knew elements of the left like "The Squad" were "radical," noting that Jayapal’s interview is a "game changer" in the way she views them.

Kelly further added, "These are obvious war crimes, and there should be absolutely no hesitation… even if you accept in their view of the world that the war has been ongoing and that 10/7 wasn’t a terrorist attack."

"For an American woman, a Representative from the state of Washington, to have any reaction other than ‘I am horrified by this, period’… is absolutely disgusting," expressed the former Fox News host.

Internet joins Megyn Kelly to bash Pramila Jayapal for failing to condemn Hamas' sexual violence against women

Soon after Megyn Kelly's take on Pramila Jayapal surfaced, netizens joined her in bashing the congresswoman.

One wrote, "Jayapal is a Hamas rep in our US Congress. Sickening," while another added, "Thank you Megyn...I cannot tell you how much I dislike Jayapal over her disgusting response and behavior."

"Jayapal (like the rest of her party) should be ashamed and mocked for their grotesque Anti-Semitic misdirection on this matter," noted someone else.

A person exclaimed, “Bounce her out of Congress!!" with one more claiming, "Jaypal wants only her side heard. She doesn't care about the trauma of raped victims by Hamas."
