Ivanka Trump accused of seeking 'brownie points’ for dad as she provides aid to Hurricane Helene victims
HICKORY, NORTH CAROLINA: Ivanka Trump made yet another public appearance despite her absence from father Donald Trump's campaign trail by traveling to North Carolina to help those devasted by Hurricane Helene.
On Wednesday, October 2, the former first daughter visited Hickory in western North Carolina to distribute food, emergency supplies, and 300 Starlink devices to victims hit by the catastrophic Category 4 storm, reported Daily Mail.
Ivanka assisted the efforts together with CityServe, a relief organization she has collaborated with since her White House role.

Ivanka Trump joins relief efforts in North Carolina despite disappearance from national politics
The 42-year-old, who appeared in casual jeans, a green and white striped sweater, and sneakers, was also joined by relief organizations Love & Life and Mercy Chefsto to help the Hurricane Helene survivors.
Ivanka, accompanied by her second-born, 10-year-old Joseph, served hot meals and fresh vegetables and fruits from Planet Harvest. She also supplied 300 Starkink systems donated by tech moguls Elon Musk's SpaceX to help the victims remain connected through high-speed internet.
Ivanka took to X and shared pictures from her hurricane relief efforts, thanking all the organizations for their assistance to the victims.
"The devastation we witnessed today in Western North Carolina was heart breaking. Hurricane Helene brought 16 inches of water (40 trillion gallons across its path) to the region within 24 hours wiping out homes, building, highways and sometimes whole communities," she wrote.

Last week, Ivanka's father, the GOP presidential nominee, visited Georgia, another state hit by Hurricane Helene, which made landfall on September 26 in Florida. Before his visit, Trump claimed the Biden administration "left Americans to drown" in several states, including North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Nevertheless, Ivanka's visit came as her father is slightly trailing behind Vice President Kamala Harris in national polls. Notably, she only made rare appearances to support Donald's third presidential bid, unlike her constant presence in the 2016 and 2020 campaigns. Her latest political appearance was at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in July.
Hurricane Helene caused catastrophic damages in North Carolina
The Tar Heel State suffered severe damages from Hurricane Helene, causing the death of at least 90 people out of the 176 total death toll, with 100 remaining missing. The Appalachian Mountain region of the state was hit with floods and landslides.
President Joe Biden visited Raleigh in the state on October 2, conducted an aerial tour of the area, and met with emergency responders. He also declared that he would send 1,000 active-duty soldiers to North Carolina for assistance.
The electricity outage, lack of clean water, and disrupted cell service have prevented people from reaching their loved ones.
Ivanka Trump's relief efforts visit to North Carolina backfires online
Ivanka Trump's visit to North Carolina to supply food and Starlinks to the victims of Hurricane Helene was met with mockery online. Netizens deemed her efforts as a photo op session to help her father ahead of the upcoming election.
On Facebook, one user wrote, "Trying to get brownie points for her daddy."
"She magically reappears just in time for photo ops," another remarked.
"So funny that he started losing the election and his family comes out of the woodwork to start speaking to and helping the community," added one person.
"A bunch of nothing going on here. All show, no real action," read another response.
"You know it's election time when the Trumps are pretending to care about people," someone else chimed in.
"Thought you didn’t want anything to do with politics anymore .. Ivanka. What changed?" one person wrote on X.
"No nails were damaged while taking these photos folks," an individual quipped.
"Sowing up to a disaster zone in designer clothes and photo-ops," another user wrote.
