Jack Antonoff dodges question on attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding amid feud rumors

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Longtime collaborators Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff once again found themselves at the center of public attention after an awkward television exchange sparked renewed speculation around Swift’s rumored wedding plans with American football player Travis Kelce. 

Antonoff, who has worked closely with Swift for more than a decade, appeared visibly uncomfortable when questions shifted from music to wedding speculation during a recent appearance on NBC’s ‘Today’ show, a moment that quickly fueled online chatter.

Antonoff appeared on the Friday, May 22 episode of the show alongside his band Bleachers as part of the program’s Summer Concert Series. During the segment, the group performed ‘Dirty Wedding Dress,’ a track inspired by his marriage to actress Margaret Qualley.

Following the performance, host Craig Melvin steered the conversation toward wedding season before bringing up Swift and Kelce’s rumored upcoming ceremony. Antonoff attempted to redirect the discussion by asking Melvin about his own marriage instead.

The moment grew more tense when Melvin asked whether he would be attending any “big weddings” this summer. Antonoff replied, “Uh, I hope. Yeah, I hope so, man,” before declining to share further details. 

When pressed about possible destinations, he laughed, shook his head, and said, “Oh no, no, no, no.” Trying to move away from the topic, he added, “I love being married, man. I’m happy you love it too.”

The host joked, “That’s all you’re gonna give me, huh?” which prompted Antonoff to respond, “Did we just have a moment?” The exchange quickly went viral, with viewers debating whether his reaction signaled inside knowledge or simple discomfort with the topic.

Antonoff has remained one of Swift’s closest creative collaborators throughout her career. Their professional partnership began with the 2013 song ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ and continued across several albums, including ‘1989,’ ‘Reputation,’ ‘Lover,’ ‘Folklore,’ ‘Evermore,’ ‘Midnights,’ and ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’

She also described their songwriting approach, saying, “We established this thing that we love to do, and we call it the rant bridge, It’s basically like stream of consciousness, endless pouring-out of emotion, intrusive thoughts, blended with metaphor, with discussion, with shouting,” she shared.

Wedding speculation around Swift and Kelce has intensified in recent weeks following reports of a possible July ceremony in New York City after their engagement in August 2025. Reports also suggest guests have been asked to keep details of the event private.

Antonoff is among several public figures recently questioned about the rumored wedding, alongside singer Maisie Peters and broadcaster Graham Norton, as online discussion around the guest list continues to grow.
