WHITE OAK, TEXAS: James Michael Alexander pleaded guilty to murdering his wife Kimberly Jayne Alexander, 61.

On July 10, White Oak Police responded to a residence in East Larkspur, where they discovered a body covered in blood. The deceased's son had contacted the officers after finding her unresponsive, reports KLTV.

Daughter Krystina remembers her 'lovely' mother

Authorities reported that Kimberly was shot twice in the head, with her son suggesting that his father might be responsible for her death.

“She was kind, generous, hard-working, and a shining example of unconditional love in my life. I feel her loss every single day,” Krystina Haas, Kimberly’s daughter, said in her tribute.

“The trauma caused by James’s actions will be carried throughout our lives. He took the opportunity away from us, with this violent crime, to say our final goodbyes. We can never get that back. My brother, who found her on that awful day, will never get that image out of his head.”

“James was always a violent and angry person,” Haas added.

James was taken to hospital for self-inflicting injuries

Kimberly's obituary portrayed her as someone who "cherished teaching, crafting, sewing, and baking when she wasn't enjoying precious moments with her children and grandchildren."

The obituary fondly remembered Kimberly as someone who was "always there for her children and grandchildren when needed." It further stated, "Her positive outlook and loving presence will be deeply missed by many."

Additionally, the obituary stated, "Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Michael Lee Anderson of Mesquite. She is survived by her mother, Sandra Anderson, sister Shannon Anderson, brother Robert 'Bobby' Anderson and his wife Melinda, along with numerous nieces and nephews."

"During the investigation, the White Oak Police Department determined that James Alexander had caused a collision by running a red light at a significant speed prior to his wife's body being discovered," stated the prosecutor.

"As a result of the crash, Alexander was transported to a hospital in Tyler due to injuries sustained. It was also revealed that James had not taken his medication during the shooting incident."
