WASHINGTON, DC: Representative Jasmine Crockett stirred up a storm over the weekend with her staunch defense of President Joe Biden, following widespread concerns about his shaky debate performance on Thursday night, June 27.

Speaking with MSNBC’s Ali Velshi, Crockett portrayed the upcoming general election as a stark moral choice, emphasizing Biden's integrity over his widely-criticized public speaking abilities, as reported by The Hill.

In her interview, Crockett didn't mince words, highlighting what she perceives as the clear differences between Biden and former President Donald Trump.

She stated, "I don’t really care if he was off for 90 minutes and didn’t put on like people wanted him to put on. The reality is that he is 50,000 times better than Trump, and Republicans will not leave Trump, and he has 34 felony convictions, and still got over 50 pending."

Crockett went on to criticize fellow Democrats who have expressed doubts about Biden's debate performance and speculated about replacing him as the party's nominee. She acknowledged Biden's known weaknesses in oratory but defended his integrity and achievements.

"It is so wild to me, and it’s been quite annoying if I’m going to be perfectly honest, that Democrats get into a frenzy. I mean, it is almost like we are scared of our shadow sometimes," Crockett expressed.

"And everybody’s saying, 'We’ve got to have the best of the best,' and let me tell you something: There is no better heart, there is no better man, and, honestly, when it comes down to being an orator, that’s never been who Joe Biden has been," she continued.

Crockett also took the opportunity to defend Biden's record in office, pointing to tangible benefits she believes his administration has delivered.

"This is about all of us. So if people want to be honest with themselves, what they need to do is look at which team delivers for you. If you are happy about the dollars that are flowing into your community because of the infrastructure, because of the chips and science bill, because of the reduction in the cost of insulin — that was due to the Democrats," she argued.

Crockett urged voters to consider the broader implications of their choice in the upcoming election.

"It is time to choose yourself and figure out which team is riding with you. If you want more of the chaos that we have seen out of this House, that is all you are going to get, times three, if you decide to go with Donald Trump, because he is loud and wrong," she explained.

Jasmine Crockett's remarks defending Joe Biden draw flak online

The internet erupted with backlash following Crockett’s comments defending Biden.

One Facebook user said, "The democrats are in a cult. They actually believe that a man on his deathbed is better than someone with a Class E book-keeping felony where the maximum penalty is just a fine. There should be an IQ test to run for office."

While another remarked, "There’s another candidate besides Trump & Biden but the Democrats are too focused on party, instead of what’s good for the country."

A third user wrote, "This is about our country and Biden is not up to the job."

Another user posted, "This woman is about as stupid as they come."

One user commented, "Democratic party creates morally bankrupt people."

A sixth user mentioned, "These people are delusional as usual."

Another user stated, "Apparently stupidity is the new pandemic among Democrats."

Lastly, a user said, "Anyone who votes for Biden is more demented than him."
