CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA: At a campaign rally on Friday, June 28, former President Donald Trump used the term "Palestinian" in a derogatory manner while referring to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

This is the second time this week that he has used the term “Palestinian” as a slur, according to HuffPost.

While speaking at the rally in Virginia, the 78-year-old MAGA strongman said that Schumer, who is Jewish, had "become a Palestinian".

What did Donald Trump say about Chuck Schumer during his Virginia speech?

“Look at a guy like Senator Schumer,” the former POTUS remarked. “I’ve always known him, known him a long time. I come from New York, I know Schumer. He’s become a Palestinian. He’s a Palestinian now. Congratulations. He was very loyal to Israel and to Jewish people. He’s Jewish. But he’s become a Palestinian because they have a couple of more votes or something, nobody’s quite figured it out.”

Schumer has expressed disapproval of Israel's actions in the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where around 38,000 people have lost their lives in a US-supported Israeli offensive.

In March, the senator urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resign from his position.

This marks the second time this week that the 2024 presumptive Republican presidential nominee has used the term "Palestinian" in a derogatory manner.

During the debate on Thursday night, June 27, between Trump and President Joe Biden, the two candidates briefly touched upon the conflict in Gaza.

Trump questioned Biden's backing of Israel, stating that he "has become like a Palestinian".

“Actually, Israel is the one, and you should let them go and let them finish the job,” the ex-Commander-in-Chief said during the debate.

"[Biden] doesn’t want to do it. He has become like a Palestinian. But, they don’t like him because he is a very bad Palestinian. He is a weak one.”

CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash chose not to follow up with former President Trump regarding his remarks in the first presidential debate of this election cycle.

Last month, lawmakers were informed by the Biden administration that it would be sending over $1 billion in new weapons and ammunition to Israel.

During the same month, a report from Biden's administration concluded that it was "reasonable" to assert that Israel is in violation of international law, but the US would continue to provide assistance to the country.

Throughout the nation, university students have staged demonstrations against Israel's actions in Gaza. Former President Donald Trump has pledged to quash those protests if he is elected president, as reported by The Washington Post.

“One thing I do is, any student that protests, I throw them out of the country,” Trump reportedly told donors in May. “You know, there are a lot of foreign students. As soon as they hear that, they’re going to behave.”

Internet reacts as Donald Trump uses term 'Palestinian' as slur

People online slammed Trump for using the term "Palestinian" as a slur twice in a week.

One X user remarked, "Now “Palestinian” is a slur. Sigh."

Another user claimed, "This isn't going to help him win over the protestor vote."

Another user said, "Using "Palestinian" as a slur is yet another in a long list of new lows to which Trump sinks daily."

One user wrote, "Trump is disgusting."

Another X user argued, "I talked about this yesterday during the so called debate. He throws the word Palestinian around like it’s an insult. That alone should have the Republicans thinking about replacing their candidate. What president would use race as a means to objectify their constituents?"

Another user asserted, "This is absolutely repulsive. Democrats should figuratively rip Donald Trump’s head off for this. This is both deeply antisemitic and racist. Couple this with his “Black jobs” comment. This should be enough to disqualify any candidate."

Finally, this user tweeted, "One of the craziest things from last night is Trump using Palestinian as a slur."
