NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's campaign made a compilation of presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden's worst moments from the presidential debate of Thursday, June 27 to troll the incumbent in their new ad, reported the Daily Mail.

Trump and Biden faced each other at the Atlanta studio of CNN for a closely moderated debate on Thursday evening. Biden's abysmal performance has left his supporters shaken and many calling for him to step out of the race.

The aftermath of the debate

Prior to Thursday's event, Biden reportedly spent a week at Camp David preparing for the debate. It was then alleged by Team Trump that the incumbent was planning to take some sort of illicit drugs to stay alert and on top of his game on the debate stage.

Former White House physician Rep Ronny Johnson even stated that Biden's time away was to get the drug cocktail correct for the showdown.

However, after the debate, the consensus between both Republicans and Democrats was that Biden bombed so badly that his party should ideally start looking for a new candidate ahead of their national convention in August.

At the same time, even though he spent the night twisting facts to his favor, the uncharacteristic restraint displayed by former President Trump surprised many, giving rise to speculations that independent swing voters may have joined the GOP wagon as a result.

Shortly after the debate, the Trump team released a video compilation of some of the most embarrassing and awkward moments for Biden on stage, over social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter).

"Needless to say, the drugs didn't work," read the caption on the post by Trump War Room.

According to the Daily Mail, Biden's first major gaffe came within the first 15 minutes of the debate, when he lost his train of thought speaking about the national debt, incoherently mumbled some words, referring to Covid-19, before concluding, "And we finally beat Medicare."

Trump did not let the opportunity slide, as he jibed, "Well he's right, he did beat Medicare. He beat it to death," capitalizing on the moment.

Internet shreds Joe Biden

Responding to the ad slamming the incumbent, a user wrote on X, "That’s painful to watch."

"Joe is so far deteriorated I’m surprised he is standing up or speaking. That entire administration is guilty of elder abuse," stated another.

"They told me all week that there isn't magic dementia fixing drugs. This debate proved that. This man was beyond help," expressed a third.

"The drugs worked as much as they could, that's the scary part!" exclaimed a fourth user.

"Week wasn’t long enough to perfect the mixture," chided a fifth.
