DALLAS, TEXAS: Democratic Rep Jasmine Crockett has responded to Vice President JD Vance after he took jabs at her during his speech at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest held in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday, December 21.

During his speech, Vance said that Crockett's "record speaks for itself" and mocked her Senate bid.

Jasmine Crockett's unhinged response to JD Vance's remark

During an appearance on MS NOW's 'The Weekend Primetime', Jasmine Crockett did not hold back and took a direct jab at JD Vance saying, "Instead of talking about policies when you are talking about the record speaks for itself, baby let's talk about your record because the only reason you're the vice president is because the current president tried to have his last president killed."

Speaking to the crowd in Phoenix, Arizona, Vance said, "And Jasmine Crockett, oh Jasmine Crockett," which was followed by a loud boo from the crowd.

The vice president then said, "The record speaks for itself," while adding, "She wants to be a Senator, though her street girl persona is about as real as her nails!"

His statement received a loud cheer from the crowd at the Turning Point USA event.

His remarks came following the congresswoman's dig at President Donald Trump earlier in December. During a CNN appearance on December 13, Crockett said many House Republicans were unwilling to support Democratic-backed measures because they were more afraid of Trump than of their own constituents.

She cited examples of Republican leaders declining to back extensions or compromises supported by Democrats, pointing specifically to comments made by Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene

Crockett said Greene appeared to believe she "just could not be on the opposite side" of Trump, adding that Greene raised several concerns about why doing so would be "problematic," including personal risk.

Senator John Kennedy calls out Jasmine Crockett's Senate bid

Republican Senator John Kennedy criticized Jasmine Crockett on December 14 after she entered the Texas Senate race, saying she was wrong on "every single issue" and arguing that voters would reject her message.

Crockett filed the required paperwork to run for the Senate seat on December 8, the deadline for candidates to officially enter the race.

Kennedy made the remarks during an appearance on 'My View with Lara Trump', where the host asked whether Crockett’s political momentum had peaked. The Louisiana Republican responded with sharp criticism, and questioned both her policy positions and her decision to seek higher office.

He said, "Somebody needs to tell the congresswoman that the voices in her head are not real. She is wrong on every single issue."

He also suggested that Crockett’s platform would not resonate with voters statewide. "The people of Texas will never embrace her message. I don’t know why she is doing this, but you have the right in America to do dumb things," Kennedy added.

Crockett’s Senate bid puts her in a Democratic primary contest against state Rep James Talarico. She was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 2022 from a reliably Democratic district and has since built a national profile.
