ROCKY MOUNT, NORTH CAROLINA: On Friday, December 19, President Donald Trump attacked Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene during a rally in North Carolina.
Once close allies, the two have now publicly clashed over the release of Justice Department files related to convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The feud culminated with Greene announcing her resignation from Congress just one week after Trump withdrew his support.
Trump attacks Marjorie Taylor Greene during North Carolina rally
During his speech, Trump accused her of turning into a "stone cold liberal," asking supporters at the rally, "What the hell happened?"
He continued, "She’s on CNN now all the time. Can you believe it? And it was only because I couldn’t call her back."
Trump explained the demands on his time and responsibilities as president, “You know, I have 218, [2]19, it changes, but we have 200-and-some-odd congressmen and women.”
He then said, "I have 53 senators. I’ve 212 countries. I’ve got a family, I’ve got to talk to my family too. You can’t call a president every single day and when the president doesn’t call you back."
Trump then claimed, "She goes around saying, 'He doesn’t call me back.' I said, 'Marjorie, I just can’t call you back, I’m sorry.' And when I didn’t call her back, she went on a rant, 'He won’t call me back anymore.'" The POTUS said he was “sorry about that. You know, you can only go so far.”
Trump has repeatedly and publicly denounced Greene, lacing his attacks with comically harsh nicknames and personal insults.
He labeled her as "neurotic" and warned that if he endorsed a candidate to challenge her in a primary, it "was going to kill her in the polls."
"And then they talk about how brave she is. No, brave would be to stay and, you know, it’s one of those things," Trump further said of the Georgia congresswoman.
Marjorie Taylor Greene reacts to DOJ's Epstein files release
Greene has refused to back down in the face of Trump’s barbs, standing by her push for full transparency regarding the Epstein files.
On Friday, the Department of Justice released thousands of files related to Epstein, a long‑anticipated disclosure expected to shed new light on the late convicted offender and his connections to powerful figures.
However, Greene and other lawmakers condemned the partial release and the extensive redactions of the files.
“The heavily redacted Epstein files being released” and “failure to release them all by today’s lawful deadline” are “NOT MAGA,” Greene wrote on X.
Two things that are NOT MAGA:

1. Ben Shapiro attacking Tucker and speaking at TPUSA Amfest.
2. The heavily redacted Epstein files being released, failure to release them all by today’s lawful deadline, and redacting “politically exposed individuals and government officials.”…
In an earlier post, Greene said, “Trump called me a traitor for refusing to take my name of the discharge petition. I couldn’t be more proud I stayed on."
I graduated from UGA in 96, same year Maria Farmer filed a complaint with the FBI about Epstein and her younger sisters. For 30+ years they covered it all up.
