NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Representative Jasmine Crockett left viewers divided after she shared her bold take on President Donald Trump's rising popularity following his return to the White House during her latest appearance on 'The View'.

The MAGA spearhead has been enjoying some of his highest approval ratings to date, with support spanning across various age groups and even from former critics.

Jasmine Crockett says Americans will soon understand why electing Donald Trump was the wrong decision

During the Wednesday, February 19, episode of 'The View', Jasmine Crockett found herself in a tense exchange with the show's co-host, Alyssa Farah Griffin.

The former White House aide challenged Crockett, asking how she could reconcile her disdain for Trump with his growing popularity, which had him at a 53% approval rating just last week, as per Daily Mail.

While Griffin pointed to polls showing that Americans viewed Trump as keeping his promises, Crockett shocked the panel.

She began, saying, "My takeaway is just like the election: we've got to do better at education."

Crockett went on to warn, "People don't understand, but you will understand when those hospitals in rural America start closing down even more."

She continued, "You will understand when you don’t have your Social Security. You will understand when your Medicare goes away. You will understand as planes continue to fall out of the sky."

Finally, Crockett stated, "Soon, you will understand why it's important to maybe have somebody that isn't loud and ridiculous, and maybe 'Sleepy Joe' is what we wanted because we could at least sleep at night," referencing Trump's nickname for former President Joe Biden.

Trump has seen a significant boost in his approval ratings since his victory, with many expressing strong support.

When he made his appearance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, during Super Bowl LIX, he was met with a largely positive reception.

Tech mogul Mark Zuckerberg, who criticized Trump in 2017 over his remarks on Facebook, visited Mar-a-Lago and scaled back fact-checking operations on his platforms after the 78-year-old was elected president for the second time.

Respondents in a CBS News poll described Trump using words like "tough," "energetic," "focused," and "effective."

Internet divided over Jasmine Crockett's bold take on Donald Trump's rise in popularity

After hearing Jasmine Crockett’s bold take on Donald Trump’s surge in popularity following his return to the White House, several viewers praised her, while others criticized her remarks.

One wrote, "Absolutely correct, much rather have Politicians becoming multimillionaires by committing fraud or crime. As long as I can sleep at night! But wait, most Americans can’t sleep anyway because they’re in financial trouble."

Another said, "She is a true FIGHTER!!!!" while a person declared, "Jasmine's is the kind of voice needed right now. More like her please."

An individual who disagreed with Crockett's comment wrote, "Sleepy Joe was not qualified to be President and Trump is over qualified."

"I sleep much better now cus of @POTUS in 2025 than I did from 4 years of @JoeBiden. Thank u though for your concern," another person expressed.
