Jason Kelce’s teammate reveals he fell asleep on his first date with Kylie despite preparing for a ‘good first impression’

KANSAS, MISSOURI: Jason Kelce, the Philadelphia Eagles center, had a memorable first date with his now wife Kylie, but not for the right reasons.

His teammate Beau Allen revealed on the 'New Heights' podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce that Jason fell asleep at the bar while meeting Kylie for the first time.

Jason and Kylie matched on Tinder and chatted online for a couple of weeks before deciding to meet in person.

Jason was smitten with Kylie and wanted to make a good impression on her. He told Allen, who was hanging out with him, that he really liked this girl and had to do well on their date.

Allen recalled on the podcast, “… For a week or two leading up to you guys meeting they were chit chatting online and Kelce’s talking about this girl and saying, ‘I really like this girl, I gotta make a good first impression,’" People reported.

Jason Kelce and Allen had “pre-gamed” before attending a holiday party in Philadelphia that evening.

Jason told Allen that he was going to meet up with Kylie later that night. Allen was excited to meet her too, as he had heard all about her from Jason.

Allen continued, “Kelce’s like, ‘Yeah, I think we’re going to meet up with this girl,’ and I’d heard all about her and I’m excited to meet her.”

However, things did not go as planned for Jason and Kylie. Jason fell asleep at the bar. It was Kylie's first impression of Jason being carried out of the bar.

Allen said, “And the night just went a little bit sideways — and Kelce fell asleep on the bar, like snoozing.”

Allen then faced the challenge of trying to move Jason from the bar. He said, “… It’s like cobblestone streets and you’re fighting me. I’m like straining and I dropped you."

“That was physically one of the hardest things I’ve ever done,” Allen recalled. “That was harder than climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, maybe,” he joked.

Jason said that he remembered the incident. He said, “ I know I was sleeping but I remember it. I remember fighting you and laughing my a** off.”

Despite the disastrous first date, Kylie gave Jason another chance. Jason asked Allen if he was shocked that Kylie agreed to go on a second date with him.

Allen replied jokingly, “I was slightly surprised. But you’re a great guy, you know, charming … how can you not want to go on a second date with you?.”

Jason and Kylie eventually fell in love and got married at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018.

They went Instagram official in November 2015 and are now parents to three daughters: Wyatt Elizabeth, four, Elliotte Ray, two, and baby Bennett Llewellyn, born on February 23, 2023.

Jason also said that his favorite memory of playing for the Eagles was “going to Buffalo Bills, meeting my wife and passing out after getting drunk with a bunch of my teammates.”
