LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Kansas City Chiefs' coach Andy Reid has become the target of online trolls after he brushed off a mid-game shove from Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during Super Bowl LVIII in jest.

While the Chiefs' victory at the Super Bowl provided unforgettable moments like Kelce's interaction with his coach, there were also heartwarming highlights that resonated with fans.

One such moment occurred when pop icon Taylor Swift, in front of millions of viewers and flashing cameras, passionately kissed her football star boyfriend on the field after the Chiefs clinched the Super Bowl in overtime.

Kelce garnered additional attention when former US President Donald Trump referenced him on Truth Social, labeling him a "liberal" and claiming credit for his girlfriend Swift's success.

Andy Reid says Travis Kelce 'keeps him young'

According to the Daily Mail, Reid brushed off the moment when Kelce shoved him on the sidelines during their Super Bowl game, despite criticism directed at the Chiefs tight end for his aggressive behavior.

Amidst the Chiefs' offensive struggles in the first half, Kelce reacted angrily to Reid's decision to remove him from a play that ultimately led to Isiah Pacheco fumbling the ball within range of the end zone in the second quarter.

Kelce's forceful push caused Reid to lose his balance, with Kelce even grabbing his left arm at one point to steady him while shouting in his face before being pulled away by a teammate.

During his victory lap interview with CBS alongside his wife Tammy, after the Chiefs' 25-22 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers, Reid was jokingly asked whether Kelce was delivering a sideline speech to him when he "ran into you in the first half."

Responding with a chuckle, Reid remarked, "He keeps me young." When a reporter mentioned Reid's balance being affected by the shove, the coach quipped, "Not so good, he tested that hip out."

Another reporter suggested, "That's how you guys communicate sometimes," to which Reid replied, "He caught me off-balance, normally I get him a little bit but I didn't have any feet under me."

Kelce also attempted to downplay the incident, commenting in the CBS interview, as reported by Daily Mail, "Ah, you guys saw that? I'm a 'keep that between us' unless my mic'd up tells the world. I was just telling him how much I love him."

During his post-game press conference, Reid reiterated that there were no hard feelings with Kelce, stating, "He loves to play the game and he loves to help his team win. It's not a selfish thing. As much he bumps into me, I get after him. We understand that. He just caught me off balance."

Kelce echoed these sentiments, according to Daily Mail, expressing, "I got the greatest coach this game has ever seen."

"He's unbelievable and not just in having everyone prepared. One of the best leaders of men I've ever seen in my life. He has helped me a lot with channeling that emotion, with channeling that passion and I owe my entire career to that and how to control how emotional I get. I just love him."

Internet says Andy Reid is 'making excuses'

A user wrote, "Making excuses for it since they won."

Another user asserted Kelce should be 'fined' and wrote, "Should be fined and suspended period."

A user commented, "What a way to try and spin it....we all saw it."

Another user commented, "#AndyReid looks weak! Any other player would have been benched! You can't just attack the coach! Swift privilege must be nice."
