HOUSTON, TEXAS: The 23-year-old woman, who shot her father in the neck and mouth, has been identified as a murderer in connection with the death of a man in November. She is now facing murder charges.

The detective conducting the investigation discovered that the same gun was used in the murder of a 43-year-old man in November as per Law&Crime.

As the investigation progressed, solid evidence emerged against Jaysel Parker Jones for her consecutive shootings, targeting both her 48-year-old father, Ronald Parker, and Kenneth Johnson in a parking lot.

As per the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Parker-Jones shot her father, 48-year-old Ronald Parker, multiple times in the neck and mouth, at an apartment on Ella Boulevard on Wednesday evening.

The incident unfolded in front of the victim's 12-year-old son, who happens to be Jaysie's younger brother.

Notably, Jones was seated in her father’s vehicle, while making an "unprovoked" attack. Miraculously, her father survived.

Subsequently, when authorities ran the gun used in that shooting through a ballistics database, they discovered its connection to the murder of Kenneth Johnson that occurred back in November.

Following the murder of Johnson, deputies were dispatched to the location at 14200 Woodham Dr at E Airtex Drive around 7:20 a.m. on November 10.

Paramedics arrived to discover Johnson deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies also located Johnson’s Honda Civic abandoned a short distance away.

Following the accusation of her father's death, on Friday, January 5, 2024, Jones was charged with the murder of Johnson.

According to the sheriff's office, Johnson was found dead in a warehouse parking lot on Airtex Drive on the morning of November 10.

Deputies stated that Jones acknowledged shooting Johnson, though they have not disclosed a motive for the murder.
