WASHINGTON, DC.: Vice President JD Vance hosted 'The Charlie Kirk Show' on Monday, September 15, in a livestream tribute to the late conservative activist, days after Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during an appearance at Utah Valley University.
From the White House, Vance honored Kirk’s legacy while intensifying his criticism of what he called “left-wing extremism.” He also recounted a disturbing confrontation at Disneyland involving his young children.

Vance opened the livestream by saying, “We have to talk about this incredibly destructive movement of left-wing extremism that has grown up over the last few years, and I believe is part of the reason why Charlie was killed by a bullet.”
He vowed to “bring real unity” through telling the truth, while condemning what he called “soulless and evil propaganda” about Kirk since his death."

Vance described a recent trip to Disneyland with his wife Usha and their three children, ages 8, 5, and 3. “Most of the guests said very nice things or just left us alone,” he explained. “But there was a minority who would shout at my children whenever they got the opportunity.”
According to Vance, one woman yelled at his 5-year-old, “‘You should disown your dad you little s**t!’” Another told his children, “Tell the Secret Service to protect the constitution, not your father!” While he said the group was not violent, he called them “deranged” and accused Democrats of encouraging “lunatics.”

During the program, Vance also noted that the suspect in custody, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, comes from “an all-MAGA family,” according to his grandmother. He reiterated Kirk’s influence on young conservative men, calling him a close friend and ally of both himself and President Donald Trump.
After the shooting, Vance and the second lady canceled their appearance in New York City to commemorate the September 11 attacks, instead accompanying Erika Kirk to transport her husband’s body from Utah to Arizona on Air Force Two.

In a letter published after Kirk’s death, Vance wrote, “God didn’t answer those prayers, and that’s ok. He had other plans. And now that Charlie is in heaven, I’ll ask him to talk to the big man directly on behalf of his family, his friends, and the country he loved so dearly.”
