WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance wants former Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk to come back into the MAGA movement by the midterms and hopes his feud with President Donald Trump cools down.

During a recent interview, the vice president talked about the strained relationship between Trump and Musk since the POTUS introduced the "big, beautiful bill."

JD Vance hopes Elon Musk comes 'back into the fold' by midterms

JD Vance said during the interview, "He's (Elon Musk) obviously got a complicated relationship right now with the Trump White House, though. My argument to Elon is, you are not going to be on the left, right?"

"Even if you wanted to be. And he doesn't. They're not going to have you back. That, that, that ship has sailed," he added.

Vance continued, "And so I really think it's a mistake for him to try to break from the president. So my hope is that by the time of the midterms, he's kind of come back into the fold."

He said that maybe Musk would not take his call, but added that he was joking. Vance also mentioned that despite the frustration surrounding Musk, the POTUS has always appreciated the Tesla CEO’s work as the head of DOGE, and that he hopes things between them get back to normal soon.

On his attitude about such circumstances, the vice president said, "If you're patriotic, you're not trying to stick your knife in the back of the president, you're not trying to betray the movement, I don't care about these minor little disagreements and issues."

The feud between Donald Trump and Musk began in June when the tech billionaire began taking shots at the president's "big, beautiful bill," going as far as to call the tax bill a "disgusting abomination."

The POTUS also took his fair share of jabs at the SpaceX CEO and even threatened to cut Musk's government contracts as their public feud intensified.

Currently, the two have not taken a jibe at each other for some time, but the feud still continues.
