NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Conservative political commentator Scott Jennings launched a sharp critique of Jimmy Kimmel, accusing the late-night host of mocking working-class Americans during a segment on his show about Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

Speaking on 'The Scott Jennings Show' on Thursday, March 26, Jennings walked through the controversy and slammed Jimmy Kimmel as an "elitist."

Scott Jennings tears into 'elitist' Jimmy Kimmel

Opening his remarks, Jennings framed the situation by highlighting the backlash Kimmel has been facing.

“Comedian Jimmy Kimmel is under heavy criticism for comments that he made about America’s working class on his ABC TV late-night show earlier this week,” he said.

He then explained the core issue: “He took to the airwaves to attack President Trump's new Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin for having a working-class background.”

Jennings built up the argument step by step, setting the stage for what he saw as a broader cultural problem.

After laying out the controversy, Jennings turned directly to viewers with a question.

“But honestly, ask yourself this question,” he said. “If you had to be governed by 100 plumbers or 100 sneering, elitist, broken, know-nothing hack liberal comedians in Hollywood, what would you choose?”

He didn’t leave the answer open-ended for long.

“I know what I would choose,” Jennings added. “I’d take the plumbers, the working class every single time.”

Jennings also took aim at Kimmel’s attempts to clarify his comments, suggesting the comedian only made matters worse.

In a separate post on X, he wrote: “Why is a late-night host having to apologize so often, and why does he always screw it up and make it worse?”

Scott Jennings lauds ICE agents

Jennings further bolstered his argument by pointing to what he described as real-world examples of frontline service, specifically referencing a dramatic incident at JFK Airport involving an ICE officer.

Describing the moment, Jennings said an infant “became unresponsive and stopped breathing,” triggering panic among passengers.

He continued, “An ICE agent heard this, he runs towards the cries. He grabs the child, and he ended up performing a Heimlich maneuver that restored the infant’s breathing after nearly two minutes.”

Calling the moment “really something else,” Jennings praised the officer’s actions, adding, “This officer’s extraordinary bravery, of course, embodies the selfless service of DHS law enforcement.”

He contrasted this with criticism of such agencies, saying, “The same people that are demonized every single day by mainstream media and Democrats, what do we see? They’re saving kids. They’re handing out water. They are helping the public.”
