NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Jesse Watters dived straight into a fashion firestorm on the Monday, April 14, episode of 'The Five', all because of one controversial wardrobe choice — white jeans.

What began as a lighthearted discussion quickly spiraled into a hilarious roast session, courtesy of his co-hosts and guest, former pro wrestler George Murdoch, also known as Tyrus, as per the Irish Star.

Jesse Watters sparks fashion debate with 'white jeans' confession

The segment took off when Harold Ford Jr turned to Jesse Watters and asked point-blank: "Do you wear white jeans?"

"I wear white jeans," Watters confessed confidently, before adding, "Probably the thing that looks best on me."

That declaration raised more than a few eyebrows.

Watters doubled down on his fashion choice, stating, "When I have my white jeans on, I look really good, like really good," the 46-year-old said, prompting an audible tsk from one of the co-hosts.

When Tyrus asked for photo evidence, Watters dodged the request, saying, "I don’t think so." "But I don’t pick what it represents, boasting or privilege. Because it’s like tennis whites?" the Fox News host added.

Ford Jr, amused but apparently satisfied, responded, "I don’t know why they say that… That answer is sufficient for me."

But it was clear Tyrus wasn’t ready to let this fashion debate slide.

George Murdoch explains why men shouldn't wear white jeans

Jesse Watters continued with bold fashion philosophy, noting, "There is nothing not manly about wearing white jeans."

Tyrus then said, "Men get dirty. Men work."

When Watters tried to explain that he doesn’t wear white jeans to a "manufacturing job," Tyrus wasn’t hearing it.

He pushed further, saying, "Would you really go to dinner in white jeans?"

Things got spicy when Watters insisted he wouldn’t drop food on himself.

That’s when Tyrus said, "You know what, you should get a bowl of soup," he said with a grin, before adding, "You should get a bowl of soup and sip it through a straw in your fancy white pants."

The panel burst into laughter as Watters, flustered but determined, turned to his co-hosts for backup.

Dana Perino plays peacekeeper in Jesse Watters and George Murdoch's white jeans showdown

Dana Perino took a diplomatic approach and pointed out, "There are French men [who] wear white jeans. If they are clean and pressed, you should definitely wear them. You could rock them from Memorial Day to Labor Day."

Predictably, that didn’t sit well with Tyrus either.

"Little French men," the former pro wrestler scoffed. "Put a little sailor cap on and take a picture."

Watters, clearly not done fighting, fired back, saying, "The French get a lot of women!"

Just when it seemed like Watters might regain some ground, former judge Jeanine Pirro delivered a final, cutting verdict on men who wear white jeans.

She said, "I would never date a guy who wears white jeans."

The studio exploded as Tyrus triumphantly shouted, “Thank you!”
