NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Jesse Watters is no stranger to controversial statements, but his recent appearance on 'The Five' had even his co-hosts laughing, not with him, but at him.

During a live segment, Watters delivered a strange and sexist comment about remote work, claiming that men who sit behind screens all day "are women," as per The Irish Star.

The irony? That’s exactly what Watters does for a living.

Jesse Watters' bizarre remote job claim

The awkward moment unfolded during a discussion about Donald Trump’s tariffs. The president announced sweeping tariffs on dozens of nations on April 2.

On April 7, the Fox News panelists were debating a MAGA author’s claim that these tariffs will reverse a crisis of masculinity in the US by bringing back jobs requiring brawn.

Watters confidently declared: “When you sit behind a screen all day, it makes you a woman. Studies have shown this.”

He tried to double down on his claim by comparing remote jobs to more hands-on roles, pointing to fellow panelist Harold Ford Jr, saying, “Building robots like Harold, you're around other guys and not HR ladies and lawyers.”

The comment triggered immediate laughter from the other co-hosts. Jeanine Pirro couldn’t resist cutting in, asking, “What do you do?”

As Watters attempted to respond, Pirro didn’t let him off the hook: “You sit behind a screen.”

The live burn left Watters visibly flustered as the rest of the panel struggled to contain their laughter.

Jesse Watters' peculiar take on Elon Musk’s exes

On the April 4 episode of 'The Five', Jesse Watters, a vocal Donald Trump supporter known for his outlandish commentary, bizarrely launched into a discussion about Elon Musk’s past relationships, all in defense of the billionaire’s dating history.

Reacting to comedian Bill Burr’s criticism of Musk and other tech moguls on 'The View', specifically that they were “nerds who couldn’t get girls” and now “make robots," Watters went full amateur sleuth.

He explained, “Now, I went and did a deep dive on the girls they were getting. Musk’s girlfriend in college was very pretty. Very pretty."

He continued, “She was thin and had a nice face and she was very pretty. And then he had another girlfriend and they ended up getting married together and having, like, four children. So he had never had a problem with getting girls.”

Watters appeared proud of his “investigative journalism,” listing Musk’s exes and concluding, “He did fine."

His co-hosts couldn’t help but laugh, possibly wondering why Musk’s dating history was suddenly headline-worthy on a political talk show.

Watters didn’t just stop at Musk, he took a cryptic jab at Burr, saying, “It’s Burr and I did a deep dive on Burr, just gonna leave it like that.”

What exactly Watters found in his "deep dive" into Burr’s life remains a mystery, but the vague remark only added to the surreal nature of the broadcast.
