LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On Tuesday's episode of Fox News' 'The Five', Jessica Tarlov took a strong stance against her co-hosts' insinuations about Jewish Democrats.

Addressing claims that Jewish Democrats suffer from “Stockholm Syndrome,” Tarlov challenged the narrative and raised a provocative question: why are there no Jewish senators in the Republican Party?

Jessica Tarlov defends Harris’ running mate choice

In the discussion, co-host Jesse Watters questioned Vice President Kamala Harris's choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate instead of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish.

Tarlov, who is Jewish herself, responded, “Well, I don’t think it’s because she doesn’t like Jews. She’s married to one.”

Tarlov acknowledged the presence of antisemitism within the Democratic Party but argued that other factors contributed to Shapiro not being selected.

She pointed out issues such as chemistry and Shapiro’s support for school vouchers, which displeased teachers' unions.

Tarlov criticizes Republican Jewish representation

According to her, labor leaders preferred Walz and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

Further elaborating, Tarlov said, “I don’t think that’s because he is a Jew, I think it’s because he wasn’t as strong on labor issues. A majority of American Jews are Democrats and Donald Trump has, he called Doug Emhoff a ‘crappy Jew’ last week.”

As Watters laughed at the comment, Tarlov sharply responded, “That’s hilarious. Jews find that hilarious… It’s not funny.”

Tarlov then pivoted to a critique of the Republican Party’s stance on Jewish representation.

“I want to say something about the Republican Party and Jews. If the Republican Party was such a safe space for them, why are there no Jewish Republican senators? There are nine, they’re all Democrats, and Chuck Schumer is a Jew and he’s the leader of our party.”

She further highlighted that among the 26 Jewish congresspeople, only two are Republicans.

Tarlov clashes with Gutfeld over accusations of Stockholm Syndrome

When co-host Greg Gutfeld mocked Tarlov’s position, suggesting “Stockholm Syndrome” as the explanation, Tarlov pushed back, “Okay, well all of the Jewish Americans that vote for Democrats are idiots to you guys, is that correct?”

Gutfeld’s response was, “You said it,” prompting him to urge Tarlov to retract her statement.

The exchange underscored the intense debate surrounding party affiliations and Jewish representation in American politics.
