MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: On 'The Tonight Show' on June 3, 2024, Jimmy Fallon expressed doubts about Melania Trump's well-being following the guilty verdict in her husband Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial on May 30.

As per several news outlets, Trump became the first former American president to be convicted of felony crimes after a New York jury found him guilty of all 34 charges related to a scheme aimed at illegally influencing the 2016 election through a hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels who claimed they had a sexual encounter.

"Trump mentioned that Melania is doing fine, but acknowledged that this trial has been particularly tough on her," Fallon remarked, before adding, "You know Melania is upset because whenever a spouse says, 'I'm fine,' they are definitely not fine."

He joked, "If you want to show Melania your support, send her a message on any of the five dating apps that she just joined."

In a Fox News interview on June 2, the former president discussed how his wife is coping with the news of his conviction.

"She’s fine, but I think it’s very hard for her," Trump said, adding, "I mean, she’s fine, but you know she has to read all this crap."

As per BBC, in his Fox interview, Trump acknowledged the possibility of imprisonment, stating that he is "okay with it" but expressing doubt that the public would tolerate it.

"I think it would be tough for the public to take," he said. "You know, at a certain point there's a breaking point."

Netizens mock Melania Trump

Jimmy Fallon's concerns about the former first lady Melania Trump's emotional state and that she may not be as "fine" as she outwardly appears received various reactions from the online community.

One social media user expressed, "I'm not sure melanomia needs any dating apps. She has her 'stylist' that the convicted felon is paying for. She's been 'fine' for some time now."

Following suit, another observer added, "I'm sure she didn't like her husbands dirty laundry hung out in public."

Additionally, one person pointed out, "She married him, she stays married to him so there must be some payoff."

One person said, "Nope Jimmy, she's ready for a lot of lib criminals to be prosecuted now!"
