LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Following President Joe Biden’s comments that appeared to label Donald Trump supporters as “garbage,” the former president sought to turn the situation in his favor by wearing an orange vest and posing in a garbage truck.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel wasted no time mocking the stunt in his Wednesday monologue, saying incredulously, “He went out and rented a garbage truck and put his name on the side.”

Jimmy Kimmel added, “Shouldn’t they have put him in the back of that? The garbage goes in the back of the truck.” Displaying a photo of Donald Trump, he joked, “It really brings out the orange in his face, I have to say.”

Kimmel also mocked the overblown reactions from the right to Biden’s comments, joking, “Joe Biden should drop out of this race immediately,” while pointing out that Trump himself has referred to America as a “garbage can” numerous times over the past week.

The late-night host suggested that Trump’s emphasis on Biden’s “garbage” remark is a tactic to divert attention from the backlash he received over comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke at Trump’s recent Madison Square Garden rally, where Puerto Rico was called a “floating island of garbage.” Kimmel quipped, “This garbage thing is a serious problem for [Trump].”

Kimmel aired a clip of Trump asserting, “I’ve done more for Puerto Rico than any president I think that’s ever been president... Every time I go outside, I see somebody from Puerto Rico, they give me a hug and a kiss.”

Kimmel responded sarcastically, “Yes, that definitely happens every time he goes outside,” adding, “He’s got a point: No president in history has thrown more rolls of paper towels at the Puerto Rican people than Donald Trump.”

Joe Biden embraces Halloween festivities while Donald Trump defends against controversy

Meanwhile, as former President Donald Trump worked to distance himself from controversial comparisons to Hitler, current President Joe Biden hosted the annual Halloween celebration at the White House.

Kimmel humorously pointed out the contrast, noting Biden's playful approach as he and the First Lady dressed up for the occasion, with Biden's outfit charmingly paired with the First Lady's panda costume.

Someone alert Sean Hannity!” He made light of the event’s playful theme, “Hollow Re for Real,” and joked about the eclectic assortment of treats being handed out—ranging from candy to books like 'Tuesdays with Morrie'—asking, “Has the White House ever been egged before?”
