NEW YORK CIYT, NEW YORK: After almost a year and over 100 days of vacation, President Joe Biden is set to visit East Palestine, Ohio, the location of a toxic train derailment causing severe environmental damage.
In a Wednesday White House press briefing, a reporter inquired whether the President intends to drink the water during his visit.
Following this, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report on the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s response to the question.

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that after the one-year anniversary of the disastrous train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, Joe Biden will be traveling to the town in February.
Following this news, a reporter asked Karine Jean-Pierre a question during Wednesday’ press briefings, “When the president is in East Palestine, will he drink the water there?”
KJP replied, “Look, what I can tell you is the President’s focus has been to do everything he can to support this community from day one. We know what’s going on. That’s why we had the EPA…on the ground. This is not about some political stunt, here.”
She continued, “This is about this President being a president for everyone and showing up for this community. I’m not going to get into some political stunts about drinking water.”
Last year, testing results analyzed by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicated no detection of contaminants in the raw water sourced from the five wells supplying East Palestine's municipal water system.
