NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders, who conducted an interview with President Joe Biden that aired on Thursday, July 4, disclosed in a CNN interview that the president's staff gave her a list of questions to ratify before the interview.

CNN host Victor Blackwell said on Saturday, July 6, he listened to both interviews and said the questions were "essentially the same" in both. Biden talked with Earl Ingram, host of 'The Earl Ingram Show' on WMCS in Milwaukee, and Sanders, host of 'The Source' on WURD in Philadelphia.

What did Andrea-Lawful Sanders say?

"The questions were sent to me for approval. I approved them," Sanders said, according to Fox News. Blackwell observed that the topics of discussion during Biden's two appearances included his record, his performance in the debate, the state of affairs in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, the nature of the election, and his advice to voters who might be thinking about abstaining from the presidential race.

Blackwell followed up, "So the White House sent the questions to you ahead of the interview?" "Yes, I got several questions, eight of them, and the four that were chosen were the ones that I approved," Sanders continued.

Joe Biden campaign spokesperson Lauren Hitt says 'it's not at all an uncommon practice'

"It’s not at all an uncommon practice for interviewees to share topics they would prefer. These questions were relevant to news of the day - the president was asked about this debate performance as well as what he'd delivered for black Americans'" Biden campaign spokesperson Lauren Hitt told the outlet.

She added, "We do not condition interviews on acceptance of these questions, and hosts are always free to ask the questions they think will best inform their listeners. In addition to these interviews, the President also participated in a press gaggle yesterday as well as an interview with ABC. Americans have had several opportunities to see him unscripted since the debate."

Victor Blackwell said Joe Biden's team was not helping prove the 'vigor' of the president

According to Blackwell, by sending questions in advance, Biden's team was not contributing to demonstrating the president's "vigor."

"And the reason I ask is not a criticism of either of you, it’s just that if the White House is trying now to prove the vim, vigor, acuity of the president. I don‘t know how they do that by sending questions first before the interview so that the president knows what‘s coming," Blackwell said.

Blackwell also played a clip of Biden's interview with Sanders, in which he answered a question concerning his achievements. "I'm proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, the first Black woman, to serve with a Black president," Biden said during the interview.

Biden also spoke to ABC News' George Stephanopoulos on Friday, July 5, during which he told viewers that he was staying in the race. Biden continues to face mounting calls to drop out of the race following the CNN debate.

Democrats come under fire for conducting staged interviews of Joe Biden with news outlets

Netizens berated the Democrats and the US president for taking part in staged interviews. One X user wrote, "Democrats being Democrats. Relying on their MSM lackeys to prop up Biden with a fully scripted theatrical performance. It’s a certainty Biden had the answers to the scripted questions drilled in beforehand and he likely still used an earpiece. Gotta love that objective journalism."

Another said, "Devious people trying desperately to hold on to power. The wrath of DJT is coming." "Absolutely amazing! Dems are complicit in hiding PinnochiJoe Biden's senility and are now calling for him to step down because he will effect down ballot voting. What about America, Democracy, and US? WOW! When it comes to THEIR power they now speak up. Sounds pretty fishy to me," added one.

'He can no longer be president," one opined of President Biden while another remarked, "thankful this radio host blew the whistle on this."
