Biden roasted as he signs with Hollywood agency after WH role ends: 'He has 4 years of acting experience'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former President Joe Biden is being trolled across social media after signing with a prominent Hollywood talent agency two weeks after leaving the White House, Fox Business reported on Monday, January 3.
The move comes as a surprise as many Hollywood big-wigs played a role in nudging the Democrat to drop out of the 2024 presidential race in the face of rising concerns about his age and mental acuity.
George Clooney wrote an op-ed in the New York Times detailing his decline, while others who voiced similar opinions include Ashley Judd, John Cusack, Rob Reiner, Stephen King, Mia Farrow, and Michael Douglas.
Which top Hollywood agency did Joe Biden sign with?
Joe Biden reportedly signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which previously represented him from 2017 to 2020. The company is also known for representing former First Couple Barack and Michelle Obama.
The 82-year-old's previous stint with the CAA was marked by the release of his memoir, 'Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose', in 2017, and his post-vice presidency 'American Promise' speaking tour that sold "more than 85,000 tickets nationwide," as per the agency's press release.
CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett released a statement after Biden re-signed with the company, which read, "President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs. His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again."
Internet trolls Joe Biden after he signs with Hollywood agency
Soon after it was revealed that Joe Biden had signed with CAA, trolls rushed to social media to mock the former president.
One wrote, "Funny...he couldn't act as President very well!" and another said, "The headline should be: Man with no talent signs with talent agency."
"Well he has always been one hell of a paid actor! Good luck in the new endeavor!" jibed a person, while someone else added, "Lemme guess... They have a part that requires an actor who can sleep at will?"
"We're getting a movie about Joe's tall tales aren't we?" an individual wondered.
One more wrote, "Wait they think he has talent?" and another person added, "He has 4 years of acting experience."
