Megyn Kelly discusses growing rumors about Barack and Michelle Obama’s marriage
The rumors gained traction after American author Jessica Reed Kraus shared an intriguing post on her Substack on January 15, raising questions about Michelle Obama's absence at the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter.
According to Kraus, this absence, coupled with Michelle's decision not to attend Donald Trump's inauguration, "confirmed that something was going on between her and Barack.”
“There seems to be some momentum picking up in the rumour mill about their marriage,” Kelly said during her podcast, referencing the growing online chatter.
Kelly added that the author mentioned hearing Jennifer Aniston’s name linked to Barack for several months.
She was not alone in commenting on the situation. Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Senator John McCain, also weighed in on the rumors.
On her show, McCain suggested that she had heard similar information from sources, including a journalist who claimed that "very serious journalists" had confirmed the possibility of a divorce within the Obama family.
“I do not know whether this is true, but if it is, it truly would be a political earthquake in Democrat circles, never mind America,” Kelly remarked, highlighting the significance such an event could have on the political landscape. “I don't remember a presidential divorce in modern history.”
Tara Palmeri suggests Barack and Michelle Obama 'live separate lives'
Adding to the discussion, reporter Tara Palmeri shared her perspective, stating on her podcast that she had heard from multiple sources that Barack and Michelle “live separate lives.”
Palmeri further speculated that Michelle had little interest in politics, a sentiment that became more apparent during her time as first lady.
“I am not at home with them, but it’s not really surprising at this phase of their life,” reporter Palmeri said. “And she clearly has very little interest — she’s always hated politics! She did not really like being first lady.”
As the rumors continue to swirl, both Barack and Michelle Obama have yet to publicly address the claims, and the speculation shows no signs of slowing down.

Michelle Obama's fans defended her decision to skip Carter's funeral and Trump's inauguration, citing personal reasons rather than speculating about her marriage.
A supporter said, "I don't believe it is true. I think it may be more likely she is dealing with a health issue. In the last few photos of her I've seen, she looks so tired."
