Brad Pitt and George Clooney's bromance at odds as 'things have cooled off' between longtime pals
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s famous friendship seems to have hit a rough patch.
An insider exclusively told RadarOnline, "They're not feuding. But things have definitely cooled off. George is all about his family these days, and Brad is focused on rebuilding his life."
"George is happy that Brad's divorce drama is mostly behind him, but they're not exactly popping champagne corks together!" they further shared.
Brad Pitt and George Clooney's bromance is on ice
"Nothing stays the same in Hollywood so why should this particular relationship be any different? Things ebb and flow and people come and go: wives, husbands, and even best friends. They are not war, just at arm's length," the mole added.
The source went on to note that George and the ‘Fight Club’ star "were once the dynamic duo of Hollywood's elite, and now they are giving fans the ultimate plot twist: the bromance is on ice!"
"They were known for their on-screen chemistry and playful off-screen camaraderie, the two megastars have been noticeably absent from each other's lives lately," the tipster shared.
Brad Pitt and George Clooney's 'Wolfs' created more problems between them
RadarOnline also reported that the duo's latest project, 'Wolfs', has only worsened the situation between them. The 2024 film was called "uninspired and lifeless" as well as "vanity project" by critics.
A second source shared, "George is starting to feel like every time he tries to do something with Brad, it blows up in his face. And Brad is getting tired of being his buddy's whipping boy."
Brad Pitt and George Clooney's past tensions
However, it’s not the first time Brad Pitt and George Clooney have been believed to be at odds since their bromance suffered when the former was with Angelina Jolie.
The 'Salt' actress apparently thought of George's now-wife Amal Clooney as "a wannabe who was treading on her territory as a globe-trotting do-gooder."
A mole disclosed, "Ange always felt threatened by Amal and her impressive pedigree. She immediately took a dislike to her and made it impossible for George and Brad to spend time together."
The issue became so big that the ‘Se7en’ actor even missed the 63-year-old filmmaker’s 2014 wedding to Amal.
"That was a real blow for George. It took him a long time to rebuild trust in his old buddy," a tipster said.
But things eventually got better and George even supported Brad during his marital troubles with Angelina.
"George couldn't stand by and let Brad be beaten up like that in the public eye. He made himself available to Brad for emotional support and their friendship got a second wind, but things are cooling big-time now," the source asserted.
