NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Joe Biden was seen for the first time in public since leaving office in January 2025 amid rumors surrounding his possible reentry into politics, per Irish Star.

The ex-POTUS was seen outside the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York City on Sunday, March 23, for the opening night of the Broadway show 'Othello' starring Hollywood actors Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, per the outlet.

Joe Biden was seen donning a tuxedo as he waved at the crowd outside the Ethel Barrymore Theatre while arriving for the Broadway show with former first lady Jill Biden.

Jill also took to Instagram to post a picture of herself with Biden and captioned it, "Date Night!"

Biden's former spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre was also present, per the outlet.

On the other hand, Biden has reportedly told some Democratic leaders that he will raise funds and do what all it will take to help Democrats regain their lost ground, as per NBC News.

Sources told the outlet that he met with new Democratic National Committee chairman Ken Martin to discuss plans.

Meanwhile, Democrats are on the lookout for a more viable candidate to appeal to activists and donors as the party's popularity has dropped to a record low with only 27 percent of registered voters holding positive views, per Irish Star.

Jill is reportedly helping her husband with campaigning and raising money as they settle into their Delaware home.

Former president Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race in July last year and endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris. He decided against a reelection bid after a disastrous presidential debate with Donald Trump raised doubts about his mental fitness to be in the office.

A user wrote on X, "This a proof of life pic?" while one added, "Unfortunately, date night lasted 3 minutes and Joe passed out in his oatmeal."

A person stated, "If I never see his image again, it will be too soon."

Another mentioned, "I bet he thinks he’s in Washington."

A user wrote, "Spending taxpayer money they stole no doubt."

Another chided, "Crooks. The whole Biden clan."
