WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Joe Biden's video clip from 2022 where he is heard saying, "I have cancer", has gone viral after his recent diagnosis that revealed he has an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer.

The ex-POTUS office revealed in a statement on Sunday, May 18, "Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone."

The viral clip from July 20, 2022, shows Biden at a presidential press conference in Somerset, Massachusetts, as he addressed environmental concerns, particularly the impact of oil pollution in his home state of Delaware, according to the Daily Mail.

Biden said, "That's why I, and so damn many other people I grew up with, have cancer."

The former president had delivered the sentence in the present tense, which triggered immediate confusion and speculation at the time, per the outlet.

The White House shrugged it off at the time and called it a gaffe. Officials clarified that Biden was referring to past instances of non-melanoma skin cancers he had removed before taking office, the Daily Mail reported.

At the time, Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich quoted an official, saying Biden had "mistakenly stated (present tense) that he has cancer," and was referring to past treatment.

The resurfaced clip has now gone viral, and critics suggest it may have been an accidental admission or even a sign that the truth had been hidden for years, according to the Daily Mail.

Urologist says Biden likely knew about prostate cancer diagnosis for a while

Dr David Shusterman, a New York-based urologist, believes that Biden may have known a lot longer than the public that he is suffering from cancer.

"It’s very unlikely that someone could get annual checkups and not notice a PSA elevation over the past, you know," he told NewsNation.

The expert added, "But this is what I typically would see in a VA hospital, where a patient hasn’t had medical attention in 10 years, presents to an emergency room with bone pain, and then they find that it’s metastatic prostate cancer."

"Usually, it takes from the first diagnosis of prostate cancer to spread would take five to 10 years, even in the most aggressive form," Shusterman said.

Internet suspects cover-up by Joe Biden over health conditions

Many internet users chimed in and suspected that Biden knew all along about his health condition, as an old video clip from 2022 resurfaced online where he said, "I have cancer", soon after his recent diagnosis.

A user wrote on X, "How long has the cover-up been going on?" while one added, "Oh, so it’s not a new diagnosis & it was covered up. Well then."

A person also stated, "And the cover up deepens," whereas one stated, "This is probably when the cover up started."

A user also wrote, "I remember that speech. It was refuted and covered up later," while one commented, "He also blamed one of his screw up on his cancer meds in a speech and the news went silent on it."
