WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance is not even in favor of imagining Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez taking over the Oval Office in 2028.

During a Fox News interview on Friday, May 2, Vance said, “President AOC, the stuff of nightmares,” after being asked about the possibility of him running against the 35-year-old representative three years later, as reported by The New York Post.

He told host Bret Baier, “You’ve ruined my sleep for the evening.”

JD Vance says Democrats have no ‘real leadership’

JD Vance also claimed that Donald Trump is, in reality, leading the Democratic Party.

The 40-year-old explained, “I think to the extent the Democrats have a leader, Donald J Trump is the leader Democratic Party. Because they’re just against everything that he does.”

“Any time Donald Trump does anything, [Democrats] have this emotional response — they have to be against it. They don’t have real leadership,” Vance added.

The Marine Corps veteran also showed his confidence regarding the next presidential election.

He told Baier, “I think that’s why I’m not too concerned about 2028, because if I wake up in a fantasy world where the Democrats actually have constructive ideas about how to govern this country, that’ll actually be a good thing, but in the world that we actually live in, where they’re just anti-Trump about everything, the politics of 2028 will take care of themselves.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to make ‘sure people are protected’

Late in April, when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who had swung through the US with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders on the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour,  was asked about her 2028 plans, she did not completely rule it out.

She did, however, share, “This moment isn’t about campaigns, or elections, or about politics. It’s about making sure people are protected, and we’ve got people that are getting locked up for exercising their First Amendment rights.”

“We’re getting two-year-olds that are getting deported into cells in Honduras. We’re getting people that are about to get kicked off of Medicaid. That, to me, is most important,” she said, as per The Post

JD Vance reveals Donald Trump wants to ‘juice the economy a little bit’

Meanwhile, earlier on Wednesday, JD Vance talked to Fox News Digital about what lies ahead for the Trump administration.

He said, “The next 100 days are going to be a lot of things that don’t change as quickly. It’s the big, beautiful bill — the reconciliation bill that we think will lead to permanent tax relief for Americans, but also juice the economy a little bit.”

“That’s going to be a major focus,” Vance added.
