WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has sparked concerns over his alleged declining mental health after he forgot when he actually invited the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory.

Some team members of the Eagles came to the Oval Office on April 28 after winning against the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in New Orleans in February.

Trump said he had the Philadelphia Eagles ‘yesterday’ despite having them at White House days ago

Praising the team, the president had said, as reported by BBC, “[The] Eagles have turned out to be an incredible team, an incredible group.”

But on Thursday, May 1, while addressing a crowd at the White House, Trump said, as per OK! Magazine, “I had Ohio State here and I had, yesterday, the Philadelphia Eagles here.”

Soon his statement went viral with people commenting on his mental state.

Critics say Trump has ‘no touch with reality anymore’

“Uhh...that was 3 days ago. Trump appears to be experiencing a lot of cognitive issues lately,” media company MeidasTouch tweeted.

An X user commented, “Can you imagine if this was Biden … Oh, just forget it,” referring to Trump’s constant attack on Joe Biden when he was the commander-in-chief.

The second X user wrote, “The dementia is setting in faster each day.”

The third one remarked, “He has no touch with reality anymore.”

A critic commented, “A year from now Trump likely won’t remember his own name.”

Another critic said, “If Biden had said this, I’m sure it would have been the lead story on every Right Wing Network show for the next Month!!!!”

“Uh. The Eagles went there on Monday. Bro is deeply unwell,” a tweet read.

Another comment read, “Only if Joe Biden had said this!!! Fox News would have this clip running 24/7 and all the maga influencers would have been mocking Joe left and right.! NUTS but is Trump so he gets a pass! From them!”

Psychotherapist believes Trump’s mental health is declining rapidly

This came a month after a prominent psychotherapist and author Dr John Gartner, spoke with MindSite News, discussing Trump’s changing speech patterns.

WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 30: U.S. President Donald Trump appears during a Cabinet meeting at the White House on April 30, 2025 in Washington, DC. Trump convened the meeting as reports released today say the U.S. economy contracted 0.3% in the first quarter of 2025, the first negative reading in three years, fueled by a massive surge in imports ahead of the administration's expected tariffs. The expert said, “When Donald Trump was younger in the 1980s, he was actually quite articulate. He spoke in polished paragraphs; now he has difficulty even finishing a sentence. His thoughts were logical and related: now they’re tangential.”

Gartner continued, “He goes off on these ramblings where he is confabulating things – weird things in which he’ll talk about Venezuelans and mental hospitals, and then he’ll talk about sharks and batteries or the late, great Hannibal Lector and Silence of the Lambs.”

“And why is he talking about Hannibal Lector – a fictional character who was not great; he was a murderer, a serial killer. It makes sense in Trump’s mind but these are really random associations. And there is an accelerating rate of decline,” he added.

But Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed any health issue with Trump.

She claimed, “As the results of his recently conducted physical concluded, President Trump is indeed in peak physical and mental condition as a result of his strenuous schedule working 20 hours per day, his exercise on the golf course, and his diet courtesy of the exceptional White House chefs.”

“The President is in a physical condition that most men his age could only dream about,” she added, as reported by The Daily Beast.
