Joe Rogan and Tom Segura mock Bill Clinton’s statement on Epstein files
WASHINGTON, DC: Comedians Joe Rogan and Tom Segura, who appeared together on the latest episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' scoffed at a statement released by former President Bill Clinton’s team amid the release of the latest batch of Epstein files.
During Tuesday’s episode (December 23), Rogan and Segura discussed the rolling release, which included nearly 30,000 documents.
Joe Rogan and Tom Segura scoff at Clinton’s statement about Epstein files
Rogan commented on a statement from Clinton’s team about Epstein, who has been photographed multiple times with Clinton. The latest release included photos of Clinton with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, whom the DOJ said coordinated with Epstein.
A Clinton spokesperson wrote after the recent release of files, “What the Department of Justice has released so far, and the manner in which it did so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected. We do not know whom, what or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection."
While reading the statement, Rogan said, “This is like the killer pretending to be the detective. We have got to solve this crime. We do not know who!’” Segura added, “This is the killer joining the search party.” Rogan added sarcastically, “We got photos of you in a hot tub, buddy.”
Reading the portion of the statement calling for the release of all files connected to Clinton, Rogan speculated it was smoke and mirrors with a deal behind it. “This means a deal was made,” he said. “So if you release a press release like that, it means the call went well. You got a deal in. ‘Whew, we’re good! All we have to do is let him run for a third term.'”
Joe Rogan suggests the Epstein files themselves could be fake
During the latest episode, Rogan suggested that the files themselves could all be fake.
“They’re doing it so slowly. Like, you guys have had this stuff for a year,” he said. Segura added, “And we were promised multiple times, it’s coming, it’s coming.”
Rogan asked, “Doesn’t it seem like you could throw all of that into AI at this stage in the game and just redact the names of the victims and let’s go?”
Segura agreed, saying he felt like the administration was 'watching their back.'
“Watching someone’s back,” Rogan repeated.
The Department of Justice has officially released nearly 30,000 more pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

On Tuesday, December 23, the DOJ released a statement saying certain files contained 'untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump,' a former friend of Epstein’s, who died by apparent s**cide in 2019 while facing serious charges. One document in the latest release includes a complaint from Epstein’s brother, alleging that Trump authorized his 'killing.'
The statement claimed, "Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election,"
It added, "To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already."
It concluded by saying, "Nevertheless, out of our commitment to the law and transparency, the DOJ is releasing these documents with the legally required protections for Epstein’s victims."
