Joe Rogan says Trump supporters ‘feel betrayed’ by ‘senseless’ Iran war
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan is weighing in on the growing debate over the United States’ conflict with Iran, saying many supporters of President Donald Trump feel disappointed by the situation.
On the latest episode of his podcast, Rogan argued that the war goes against the message Trump used during his campaign. He said the situation has left some of the president’s backers feeling confused and frustrated.

Joe Rogan says Donald Trump supporters feel betrayed over Iran conflict
While discussing the situation with Iran on his podcast, Rogan questioned how the conflict aligns with Trump’s campaign promises.
He noted that Trump repeatedly campaigned on ending long wars and keeping the United States out of unnecessary conflicts abroad.
“Well, it just seems so insane, based on what he ran on,” Rogan said during the episode.
“I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right?” he continued.
Rogan said many voters supported Trump because they believed he would keep the country out of new wars.
“He ran on, ‘No more wars,’ ‘End these stupid, senseless wars,’ and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it,” Rogan said.
Republican lawmakers raise concerns about another long war
Some Republican lawmakers have also voiced concerns about how long the conflict could last.
Many still remember the lengthy wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which kept the United States involved in overseas conflicts for nearly two decades.
Last week, Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee said supporters of the MAGA movement should closely watch how the Iran situation develops.
Burchett suggested the conflict could potentially turn into another long and costly war if leaders are not careful.
“I would say stay concerned,” Burchett told a reporter when asked what message he had for Trump supporters.
“I mean, be concerned. Be vigilant. Hold our feet to the fire. Keep us honest on that issue,” he added.
Poll shows many Americans expect Iran conflict to last months or longer
Public opinion also reflects uncertainty about how long the conflict could continue.
A recent Quinnipiac poll found that many Americans believe the war may last for months or even longer.
According to the survey, nearly three-quarters of voters believe the conflict will not end quickly.
Seventy-one percent of respondents said they expect the war to last “months,” “about a year,” or “longer than that.”
The results suggest that many Americans are preparing for a prolonged situation rather than a brief military operation.
Donald Trump calls Iran conflict an ‘excursion’ that will end soon
Despite concerns raised by commentators and lawmakers, President Trump has insisted that the conflict will not drag on.
Speaking at a press conference, Trump described the war as a short mission that was necessary.
“This was just an excursion into something that had to be done,” Trump said.
“We’re getting very close to finishing that too,” he added.
His remarks came just days after he said he would accept nothing less than “unconditional surrender” from Iran’s leadership.
