'Couldn't trust them': Joe Scarborough trolled as he warns of quitting if 'Morning Joe' preempted again
WASHINGTON, DC: MSNBC host Joe Scarborough expressed significant frustration over the recent decision to pull 'Morning Joe' from the air on Monday.
Scarborough took to the airwaves with a pointed critique of how the network managed the situation and issued a stern warning that he and his co-host Mika Brzezinski would consider leaving the show if it were to be taken off the schedule again.
Scarborough outraged over 'Morning Joe' preemption over Trump assassination attempt coverage
According to the Daily Beast, on Monday, 'Morning Joe' was preempted in favor of ongoing coverage of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. The decision, communicated via a post on the 'Morning Joe' X account, was a surprise to many, including Scarborough himself.
Tune in to @msnbc tomorrow morning for continued coverage of the attempted assassination of former President Trump.

Regularly scheduled @Morning_Joe will return on Tuesday.
At the start of Tuesday’s show, Scarborough addressed the abrupt change directly.
“Before we start this hour, Willie, I just wanted to briefly talk to our friends and viewers that watch us every day and talk about what happened yesterday,” Scarborough began, joined by co-hosts Willie Geist and Mika Brzezinski.
Scarborough recounted that he and his team had been assured on Sunday night that there would be a unified news feed across all NBC news channels on Monday.
“We were told in no uncertain terms on Sunday evening that there was going to be one news feed across all NBC news channels yesterday,” Scarborough said, emphasizing that the expectation was for the network to remain in a continuous breaking news mode.
However, Scarborough was dismayed that this plan was not followed.
“That did not happen,” he said. “We don’t know why that didn’t happen. Our team was not given a good answer as to why that didn’t happen—but it didn’t happen. We were also told it was going to happen throughout the day, and I guess, after there was such a strong blowback about yesterday morning, I guess they changed their plans.”
Scarborough expresses disappointment over 'Morning Joe' preemption and issues ultimatum for future broadcasts
Reflecting on the situation, Scarborough expressed his team’s surprise and disappointment. “We’ll talk about it on the air, because we talk about everything on the air. We were very surprised. We were very disappointed.”
He noted that had they known the change in schedule was coming, they would have been present on Monday. Geist chimed in, revealing he had been ready for a significant broadcast but was left feeling regretful over not being there.
Brzezinski also voiced her confusion over the decision, describing 'Morning Joe' as a critical forum for important discussions. “It seemed like now more than ever, is a day, a time, that we would like to be on,” she said, referring to the significance of the events occurring on Monday.
As the discussion neared its end, Scarborough made a clear statement about future expectations. “Let me just say: Next time we’re told there’s going to be a news feed replacing us, we will be in our chairs,” he declared. “Yeah. And the news feed will be us, or they can get somebody else to host the show.”
In response to CNN’s report that 'Morning Joe' was pulled to prevent potential inappropriate comments on live television, an MSNBC spokesperson denied the claim.
The spokesperson explained, “Given the gravity and complexity of this unfolding story, NBC News, NBC News NOW and MSNBC have remained in rolling breaking news coverage since Saturday evening.”

Another user added, "Interesting that they get to criticize the boss on air. If I did that publicly I’d be out of a job. Maybe @MSNBC
should fire his ass."

One user replied, "Sounds like Scarborough's got his feathers ruffled. Network's gotta do better than that, you know? Can't just drop a guy who's been holding it down for years. Maybe they're trying to shake things up, but I reckon Scarborough's got the goods. He ain't going nowhere quiet."
