LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The atmosphere on the set of 'Morning Joe' turned notably tense as co-host Mika Brzezinski challenged the characterization of President Joe Biden’s debate performance as disastrous.

According to Mediaite, co-host Joe Scarborough voiced concerns that Donald Trump could secure victory in November "unless there’s a change," following Biden's lackluster showing on CNN. Contributor Mike Barnicle criticized Biden for missing "every fastball" during the debate, suggesting he was not adequately prepared.

Mika Brzezinski urges calm amidst debate fallout

Mika Brzezinski intervened, urging everyone to "calm down." She asserted, "Everybody calm down, and I’ll tell you why. It’s fine not to spin what happened last night, and we’re not going to. He had a terrible night."

Scarborough responded, pointing out, "Mika, everybody’s calm here. You’re the only one raising your voice. Everybody is calm here."

Brzezinski expressed frustration, remarking, "It’s the, ‘let’s just immediately pull this, let’s end this, let’s find someone else'," to which Scarborough clarified, "That’s not what Mike said."

Brzezinski emphasized the need for balance in media coverage, stating, "That attitude toward this… that is what I’m saying slow down on because, again, there’s no spinning it, but let’s be balanced. Let’s, for once, show some balance in a media world that is so shrill with imbalance."

Scarborough defended their approach, saying, "We always show balance. Second, nobody’s panicking. I said these are questions Democrats and Joe Biden need to ask themselves, and Mike said he missed one pitch down the middle after another, and he wasn’t up to it last night."

He added a sense of urgency, noting that "the window [is] closing very quickly" for Democrats as the November election approaches. "It’s not panic at this point to understand what’s at stake in this election," he emphasized.
