LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent segment of MSNBC's 'Morning Joe,' NBC News correspondent Ken Dilanian encountered an unexpected disruption while discussing a significant legal matter.

Dilanian was covering Donald Trump's presidential immunity case outside of the US Supreme Court. Amid his analysis, a heckler repeatedly shouted "fake news" in the background, drawing attention to the ongoing challenges of navigating political discourse and misinformation in today's media landscape.

Dilanian remains resolute amid interruption

Dilanian, known for his insightful analysis and in-depth coverage of pressing issues, was in the midst of discussing a significant legal matter when a heckler's voice pierced through the air, repeatedly shouting "fake news" in the background.

Undeterred by the disruption, Dilanian continued his report, delving into the complexities of the legal proceedings. He addressed the delay caused by the decision to handle the case through regular order rather than expediting it, emphasizing the potential implications for the upcoming election cycle.

Meanwhile, the heckler's persistent cries of "fake news" drew the attention of hosts Joe Scarborough and Mike Brzezinski who expressed concern for Dilanian's well-being. In response, Dilanian assured them he was fine, acknowledging the presence of the disruptive individual.

Joe Scarborough addresses heckler's 'fake news' claims

Co-host Mika Brzezinski said, "Just making sure you're okay. Do you need....is everything okay? We hear someone yelling," demonstrating concern for Dilanian's well-being amid the interruption.

"It's fine. We have a heckler here outside this morning," Dilanian remarked.

Scarborough, seizing the moment, deftly connected the interruption to the broader political landscape. He referenced recent testimonies, including that of David Pecker, and highlighted the prevalence of misinformation and falsehoods perpetuated by certain political figures.

"I've got to say they obviously have been following the David Pecker testimony," Scarborough remarked, drawing parallels between the heckler's accusations of "fake news" and the documented instances of deceit by certain political figures.

"We want to make sure you’re okay, but also we want everybody watching to know that that person screaming ‘fake news’ is obviously talking about all the lies that Donald Trump perpetrated about Hillary Clinton and all of his opponents in 2020. Go ahead,” Scarborough concluded, directing Dilanian to continue his coverage.

Internet lauds heckler

Social media erupted with applause for the heckler's interruption, with some users hailing them as a hero for calling out what they perceived as biased reporting.

One user wrote, "Fake News guy is awesome! We need everyone to do this anytime you see these talking heads."

Another replied, "Lol, Joe Scarborough is totally screeching because someone has the b***s to call MSNBC out for who they really are."

One user added, "The MSM deserves all that’s coming to them. We are here for it."

One said, "Bahahahaha. Literally no one believes MSM anymore."

One user replied, "Where is that heckler hero?"

Another added, "More people need to do this!"
